US laws affect how business work WITHIN the US. The EC has its own laws and regulatory practices which affect business within the EU.
Don't get me started on this... You are either blind or naive. The rest of the post makes _some_ sense, especially if the above statment would be 100% correct.
Yes it was a typo.. and no, I am not astroturfing!.. You can see it as me trying to affect a desision that will have impact on me. I think it's only right for me to have a say even if I'm not a US citizen. A lot of the Internet legistlation is US centric although it affects the rest of the world, ever thought about that?
I was thinking of that yesterday, but I forgot to mention it now!..:).. Then you would hold on to those points and only use them when it makes sense... Not for general discussion like this post..:).. Then you wouldn't be distracted by pointless +1 comments...
If the box called "No Score +1 Bonus" became "I really wanna use my KH bonus"... Then noone could blame posting at +1 because of "forgetting" to mark the No Bonus Checkbox. Please Taco!?..:).. Just for the sake of it I'm "forgetting" to uncheck the box... Only to illustrate my point that is.. Err.. whatever..
Noone can tell by your emailaddress where you live. You can also make up snail addresses if you need them.. When I was going to register for yahoo mail it needed my Zip code, of course it checked if it was a valid US zipcode so I used the one and only worldwide well known US zip code: Beverly Hills 902101...:)... You can also make your opinions known to some American friend and they can put them forward for you... The choices are only limited by your imagination..;)
If the same exact page renders completely different in two different browsers, then how is that not following the standard?
If you have the same exact bad html in two different browsers wich are differently forgiving/nonforgiving you end up with two different renderings. AFAIK the most standards compliant browser is Opera, eventhough they don't have all the standards fully integrated.
I actually didn't know that MSX really didn't stand for MicroSoft.
But it did!..:).. Read again.. I had one of these(SVI-728) and even one of the predesessors: SVI-328 wich was almost MSX. They were very nice and expandible machines for their times. Only thing that buged me was the 8-pixels at a time scroll that Konami always used... gaaaaaahhhhh!!!....
To continue the previous guys rant: MSX was actually kindof an open standard. There were specifications which several electronic manifacturers had agreed on and they could build their own computers with aditional memory, bells and whisles as long as they complied to the standard. MS wasn't that big at that time so they played nice in the small-middle league. But that's history. The standard was developed because all the different home computer systems that were evolving were uncompatible and it wasn't cost effective to make games and port them around. I smell some Java thinking there..... but then again it may be just me...:)
you bit the troll...:P... cause that what it is, just another troll... a bit less used than the standard BSD is dying troll, but still quite common... strange nonne has moded it down yet...
... is by allowing the EFF to have free banners on the site. If lets say every 50th banner is a free banner for the EFF then/. and Andover would really put their money where their mouth is. I mean there's anyway a decline in banner sells worldwide, that gap could easily be filled with "goodwill" banners... How'bout that Taco & Co?
You have to be silly to think that humonguous companies have morals. The only moral and only rule is to make money. If it takes killing a few, who cares, especially if it's in a far away country. You have to increase your profit or you suck and die. Read this about Coca-Cola and browse through this google search. Being an unionist (trade unions) is one of the most dangerous "pastimes" on Earth. And if you think it doesn't happen in the "Civilized" world - think again.

Run help under Win2k and see how man *nix commands there are. It's kinda funny to see MS "finaly" implement PUSHD, POPD, AT, FIND with Win2k. I just showed a coworker that you could telnet to a Win2k computer and start stop programs. He was amazed.
My guess is that disease-specific meds are five years off, disease-and-patient-specific meds are about fifteen years off.
If you ment the time it takes for those medicines to reach _everyone_ then you forgot to add +XX years for patents and lawsuits. Add a few more years for the developing countries. -- $HOME is where the.*shrc is
You can use most ttf fonts with your linux systems.
If you want to do it by hand (it's pretty easy) che the man pages for ttmkfdir and mkfontdir. Here's an step by step instruction.
If you are lazy check out this link. It's for Linux Mandrake with rpms and all.
You may still have problems with some original fonts which may override the new fonts (helvetica IIRC). There are known bad fonts that come with X which don't scale properly and it's ok to ditch them as you discover them and you know you have ttf replacements. mv them to a spare directory before you kill them.
Cheers...

Only because someone showed he could be even more evil. That still doesn't make him good.
