Yes, and what is GM now? Bankrupt.

Good looks has a notoriously limited shelf life, and once a fad is over then the star will fade - like how GM was destroyed as the demand of gas guzzling SUVs dropped off a cliff.

Letting the music promotion industry die will probably mean the death of mass produced garbage with stars that are more known for their looks than their talent. Good riddance.

You also have to consider regions that do not need to commute 100miles a day. In Hong Kong, I can get to most places by driving less than 20miles. Such a car will be more than welcome here, if it means that we get to save on the outrageous new vehicle tax that slapped on every new car we buy here.

Given that, I think a backup battery in pure electric vehicles are a necessity. Make it so that batteries can be swapped in and out easily, then it will be perfect.

It is worth noting that researchers could generate IVD sperm only from male embryos; when they tried using stem cells from a female embryo, they were unable to get sperm to mature past the spermatogonial stage. That suggests that genes located on the Y chromosome, which female cells do not contain, may be essential for triggering the maturation of the primitive sperm cell.

I think we will need a way to make egg cells from stem cells, not sperm.
Which we have the material for - get two male stem cells, splice the X chromosome out and put in the other, and volia! An XX stem cell ready to mature into an egg. Seems that women cannot reproduce without men, but men can (eventually) reproduce without women!

Good luck getting people to use an OS where the terminal is still required to perform what we can do in one or two clicks in Windows. Not to mention how many programs written for Windows that just will not run under Linux. People want familiarity, not some ivory tower concept of "Freedom" that cause so many free software advocate that froth at the mouth at the mention of the word Microsoft.

Perhaps this will all change with the arrival of a Windows compatible FOSS OS, like ReactOS. People don't need Windows. They just need something that looks like windows, and will run all the programs that windows can run.
