But then again, cyberattacks are of a completely different nature than bombing a hospital.+Ã
The one danger of malware and viruses, is that they can really get out of hand. Call me alarmist, but i think there are more chances of critical equipment of an hospital causing deaths because of a malware attack that got out of hand (you really dont know how much USB thumbdrives get into places they shouldnt), than say a terrorist bombing the place a-là Joker.
PS: Why the hell is the preview function so goddamn slow!
Its also amazing how many people who use RAID think that RAID-0 is a good idea. Your chances of a array failure are 2^n times greater than with 1 disk where n is the number of disks in the array.
Shouldn't that be 2^(n-1) ?
Its actually 2^n compared to RAID 1
Strategy is the "Grand Plan". A strategy is a certain abstract or not abstract paradigm you wish to apply to a certain problem: "Divide and Conquer", "Shock and Awe", etc..
The tactics are some of the particular steps you take to achieve that goal.
Well, it actually has been done before. And quite a long time ago. It is common to use this kind of "mental tricks" for helping people who lost a limb to adapt to the feeling of having something missing.
Sometimes, when you lose a limb (say a hand), the brain re.adapts and the areas that control the feeling of another part of the body expand to the part that controlled the lost hand. Now what happens?
You get touched on certain parts of your face, per example, but you actually feel you're being touched on your missing hand.
So medics use this kind of tricks (sometimes with mirrors) to psychologically make you feel like you had your hand again.. but instead of using a puppet, they used the reflection of your remaining hand
Yeah, very useless.
I distinctly remember trying to set up a Pentium IV server with an Asus mobo. Installed Debian, got SSH configured, everything ready to go. I turned it off, disconnected the monitor and keyboard, and plugged the server into the servers room.
Started it up.. but i couldnt access it through SSH.
What was it?
"Keyboard not found, press F1 to continue"
Funnily enough, there was no option in the BIOS to skip "All errors".
So the server is still there, with a keyboard plugged in and hidden.
How can THAT be interesting? Come on...

Actually you can, legally. As long as you don't own or have possession of the video.
And Obama isn't anywhere near to the left.
The guy who made the summary is the perfect politician. Able to fill a summary with words... but without saying anything!
You mean John Titor, right?
