  6. The Definition of "God" on $100,000 Prize: Prove Quantum Computers Impossible · · Score: 1

We can only prove and disprove what we can measure. We need the definitions of the dimensions we wish to measure to prove or disprove something "exists" (can "be found"). The first definition I think is most important is whether or not said "god" can interact willfully with the universe and change what would otherwise be natural consequence. If it cannot, then god is of no consequence. If it can, then how can you reproducibly show the god's interaction? If someone cannot repeatedly find god for others, then god hasn't been found, because said god as defined ceases to exist until demonstrated!

If you're intent on keeping the current system, you're going to figure out a way to universally enforce it with "fair" penalties that deter the copyright and patent infringement. I've yet to hear a solution, only criticism.

    4. Every three years. No.

Throwing tech at this problem sure solved it. Google Chromebooks for Education (hardware and support) are extremely well priced in my opinion.

Pure FUD, Negative Nancy. Now, please rail on now about how worthless Chromebooks are and kids can't possibly get an decent education with just the Internet.

  15. Sponge on Earthquakes That May Be Related To Fracking Close Ohio Oil Well · · Score: 0, Flamebait

The earth is porous and cavernous, yet filled with fluid similar to a wet sponge. If you bust up the caverns and suck out the fluid, the ground is going to collapse. While yes, there may be some natural potential for the same event, nature simply seeks equilibrium, unlike man, so the potential energy should theoretically be lower - meaning lower probability of such, and less destruction if it would occur. The small earthquakes they are experiencing are simply minor warnings to a major catastrophe.
