The only thing I see taking the floppies place right now is the cdburner and there are so many limitations to that media. We all know of applications that have been around since the dinosaurs, but are still in use because they are mission critical. Heck there are some government websites that can only be accessed via old Netscape versions running on windows 98.

The congressman declined and that made it into the movie. However, in an interview with someone else, the congressman stated that Moore cut off the part of the interview where he said his nephew just got shipped off to Afghanistan.

I saw that interview too, but he was deceiving also. Moore was asking congressmen to send their kids to Iraq. He wasn't asking about nephews and he wasn't asking about Afghanistan. Basically Moore was asking him to send his son or daughter to Iraq. He wasn't asking for him to send his second cousin from marriage twice removed. The congressmen's answer wasn't appropriate to Moore's question and hence it was cut.

I'm sure everyone has watched the deleted scenes on DVDs with the commentaries. Usually the scenes are deleted for timing or because they do not add to film's message.

Moore's films are editorials. He has a message. The congressmen's answer was outside Moore's message and therefore expendable.

Pope Innocent III ordered the Albigensian Crusade, to purge southern France of the Cathari heretics. It began in the summer of 1209, with their first target - the town of Beziers. The Catholic faithful in Beziers refused to give up the Catharis among themselves. The crusaders invaded. When Arnaud-Amaury was asked whom to kill he replied "Kill them all. God will know his own." They did. The crusaders slaughtered nearly everyone in town, over 20,000, either burned or clubbed to death. Thus they achieved their goal of killing the estimated 200 heretics who were hiding in the town among the Catholic faithful. The brutal crusade continued on for the next twenty years. Eventually the Catholics devised a new approach for dealing with the remaining Cathari heretics in France. It was called "the Inquisition".
