TFA reads "Now when you click a result and then return to Google, you’ll find a new link next to “Cached” that reads “Block all example.com results.”"
Why should I have to click on every link first that I don't want to see in the first place?? I prefer the OptimizeGoogle firefox extension, which BTW supports regex.
The formula for making a 'successful' Hollywood movie is pretty generic. It doesn't matter if Sci fi fans don't like it. It only has to appeal to the masses to be a financial success. Pure sci-fi represents less of a market. Stick to reading novels.
Ditto that. The SheevaPlug sounded like an intriguing and novel way to have a low power, always-on server, but until I see evidence that the overheating issue won't cause a premature failure, I won't be buying such a thing. It's a cool idea though.
It's a standalone network that is not physically connected in any way to the public networks we know of as the Internet. Learned that from a Gibson novel.
1) Would-be thief uses gizmo to cause the TPMS light to display on the dash.
2) Unwary driver pulls over, gets out and begins to inspect the tires.
3) Thief jumps in and takes off.
4) Profit.
This not only takes technical expertise, but also stealth and a high level of physical fitness.
'They are secret lists with no way for people to petition to get off or even to know if they're on,'
So difficult to travel...no idea why! The flight vendors don't return my phone calls and it's like it takes me 10x the normal time when I'm driving in the airport's general direction...
I never thought I would have to consider your grandma before going into a contractual agreement with a ATT. But OK, let's forget about hard contracts that bind and sometimes even protect us, and have some sympathy for ATT. Let's raise the rates! Do it for ATT, and do it for grandma!
Talk about it like that. Tell them you're like the someone who helps the conductors and trains get to where they need to go safely.
I'm lacking on source material here, but I do recall my US history teacher mentioning that at least one very early book was written that described some pioneering networking ideas in terms of the railroads. If you think about it, switches, routers, hubs, etc. it sure sounds similar, and it makes for an interesting story.
Good luck with that.
While that was an interesting point, the most memorable part is your quote. That triggered a bellowing guffaw.

Are we talking a water bed or a foam mattress? Over or under the covers?
Great explanation. Thank you.
Yeah people, if you had ever watched 30 Rock you'd know this. Alec Baldwin runs these companies and their subsidiaries.
Kill switch is just a trigger for a nationwide DDOS.
Totally off topic, but can you actually download 14GB over a dialup modem in 1 month? I could do the math but I'm lazy... just curious.
Perhaps if your computer, the telecom switch and datacenter were right next door and your telephone wires were made of gold.
>Currently, the kindle app is one of the the only reasons I ever pick up the iPad anymore...
You had other reasons?

They're not trying to destroy it, rather to PWN it.
Then who cares.

Thanks for this. I'm going to check out OneNote. Also, I hear Evernote is good if you're using the right OS.
