The Mac mini isn't hard to work with on the inside. The worst part is getting it open. After that it's a lot of tiny screws. I did a memory upgrade on the first try with a set of photos as a guide.
If you look at the instructions and decide it's not something you want to try, then it may be best to stick to software.
mechanical capacitors: someone was working on flywheel technology for automobiles a few years ago but it didn't get far. don't know why.
smaller capacitors? if you put a lot of little batteries together you get more voltage but not more power. stored potential depends on total mass, no matter how you break it up.
Simplenet does it right. They charge very little ($15/month) for a basic suibdomain with unlimited space and bandwidth outbound. They are always connected. They are also part of Broadcast.com, which is part of something bigger now... so they will be around for a while. The only drawback is that they don't give you dialup access, so you need another account to get to them via ftp - but that won't be a problem for anyone who can read this. I'm a happy customer. I guess it depends on what you want to use this for. Me, I want more attention, so it's all good.
That's a way to dumb down the city.

Cannot imagine why!
The world moved on and left this protocol behind.
Sure, but what you save on gas you'll spend on oil. ;-)
"Luckily (for Watson), a few months later, Pearl Harbor happened ..."
Wrong! Long before that, FDR's New Deal and the new Social Security Administration were the source of IBM's turnaround during the depression.

Does seem strange. It could be by chance.
