So I carry two 120GB USB drives with me wherever I go. These drives are pretty bulky, but they do allow me to do what this "personal server" is promoting - access my data from any workstation.
Wow, I didn't realise anyone placed such high importance on their porn collection. Adds new meaning to "personal server".
Ho my God! You forgot to close the whine tag! All the rest of slashdot will be whining! (Like we're not used to it.) See, it's allready started!
Hey, dorkus malorkus, that was a C style comment and it looked closed to me! Bah, everyone seems to think everything is that newfangled XML thing these days.. *grunt* *groan* *cough*
Oh no! Now everyone's going to be spending their time hacking compilers to subvert the GPL instead of contributing!
But really, that probably won't happen for two reasons - 1, because it could probably still be argued that is changing the source; and 2, because it'd take a load of effort and anyone that would go to lengths such as those to subvert the GPL for a little "profit" is probably going out of business soon due to lack of productivity...
I'd like to point out this is just plain wrong. There are many developers that are forced to use IE to do their job just because the company's product runs on IIS and uses NTLM.
Yes... I tried to use Mozilla to "do my job" but I couldn't log in to the company's proxy server. Thank goodness I can "do my job" at work now without using IE.
After all, I suppose your job is whatever you spend the most time at work doing...
Okay, that's just not true. Is there a "caste" system for software users? I would certainly hope not, to create one would be a pointless and self-indulgent intellectual exercise.
No, it's not true, and it's not what the original poster meant either. If you actually read the whole sentence you will discover:
It reveals a bottom layer in the cultural strata of software users: those who use Free Software; those who click through EULA's and the associated closed-source licenses; and the lowly renters.
Hence the original poster meant that the free software users were at the top, not bottom, of the pile.
Tom seems to be blocking referrals from slashdot, so copy and paste this to make it view the article: http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/20030422/index.htm l
Its just a movie. No one's forcing you to watch it.
Well then why do I feel this huge compelling desire to watch it? You don't know what you're talking about. I'm gonna drag my girlfriend along to this and make her watch it - payback for all those "chick flicks" and "dramas" she makes me watch. Muhaha. Revenge is sweet.
Didn't wired have a short article on this a while ago. I think it featured a graphic telling you how to reboot your blender. Although I do like the idea of wiping my A** with a roll of MS Toilet paper.
Don't worry, a Redhat 10.0 will be out in a couple of weeks, claiming "vastly improved media handling", and that they had to rollback those kernel improvements again.
The idea with April fools is that you're meant to *fool* someone. This is so far fetched they could have said that the president has been replaced by a babbling ape and more people would believe it.
Actually, the major "revolution" with Windows 95 was the paradigm shift from the Load-Programs-Open-File paradigm to the document based paradigm. Of course, the macintosh had this for years before hand, but it was new to the windows world and it really took off.

And as long as those genetic super-beings don't come along and stuff it up, I think it has a pretty good chance of succeeding.
Does anyone have a mirror of the site? I can't even get to google's cache of.
Spelling is obviously too picky to consider you a friend.
Thanks for the good work.
If I had a dollar for each of the number of times I've heard "emacs has done that for years"...

They call it LegoVision(tm).
Just don't bring any Sardaukar ;).
Am I the only person that doesn't want to be tracked? Or do people just not realise how easily obtainable whois information is?
I don't have a notebook, so I don't go to class. Now if I had a wireless iBook...
And now i find myself wondering why I am typing this out...
I thought I TOLD you to stop using the printer paper to blow your nose!
But what's TBL's mom's number?
Yes... I tried to use Mozilla to "do my job" but I couldn't log in to the company's proxy server. Thank goodness I can "do my job" at work now without using IE.

The reason you cannot enumerate them is probably because there weren't any.
You must be one of those small town people.

You should take better care of your ape!

No, wait...
I'm REALLY frickin' fed up of copying and pasting mailto: links into evolution.
