    The point I am making is, why don't they ban the stock market as well? It is gambling, and a lot of people went bankrupt with that. There are some cases where college students borrow money and 'invest' in stocks recently. You can probably guess what happened to those people.

    Yes you are right about gambling.

    But poker is not gambling. It is a game of skills. And back in the days when it was still legal, many kids were playing it in my university's library. Kids were very good in that game, compare to some mid-age old man. That is how college become possible, and even have some chance of graduating debt-free, which is very rare nowadays.

    Not that I know of. PSP-3000s and PSP-2000s that are manufactured past summer 2008 are blocked.

    By introducing new services, Sony may force you to download a new firmware which make your "homebrew" software inoperable. (The new ones have special motherboard that made installing custom firmware impossible).

    Look what we have from Sony: Special AIBO memory sticks, New PSP motherboards, and BMG rootkits. What else do we need from them?

    Most geeks can not carry stuff > 50 pounds. No wonder why.

    The problem is, if you are in IT, you are expected to move machines around, and they ranged from 50 to 100 pounds.

    And that is also why in most of the time, most IT supervisor does NOT have an CS or IT degree. I have seen interviewers that only has a music degree.

    And apparently, changing the performance of YOUR OWN computer, such as CPU speed, application speed etc. can be considered as "Hacking".

    Look up "tf2 speed hack" or "CS:S speed hack" on YouTube for details. Those are just enhancing their gaming experience by changing the shape of the data packet of THEIR OWN computer.

    Until you see game developers start publishing on Linux, people will be reluctant to change.

    That is why you need one linux distro, and backed by one developer who has power and money to sway game developers (i.e. Valve) to publish on their platforms. Don't get me wrong. The concept of free software is supposed to be compatible and tolerant of many different design / distros. But to overturn a powerful, strong enemy, we need to stand united. We need to have one distro that will stand out.

    With the exception of IEEE journal publications, I use Comic Sans on term papers for my English class, powerpoint presentation on computer architecture, email correspondence, AIM etc. , and not a single professor/boss/friend complain about it.

    Yeah it is not MLA style to use Comic Sans MS 12-pt font in your term paper, but I got A's anyway. Comic Sans MS is the best way to fill up spaces on the paper.
