stop repeating what your kiddy friends say on IRC dude... You obviously have no attempted to even download the latest gnome packages, because if you did, you would have installed them and realized that it is far from unstable...
now if you were referring to the gnome libraries, bonobo, nautilus, etc,.. you may have point that there is some instability or Lacking of features.... yes, this is true to some degree (especially in nautilus since it hasn't even been released, and lacking of features in bonobo.. sure, its brand new though , what do you expect)..
I've been using and installed Linux on countless machines over the last five years. Although I have no formal experience in the IT field, I'm ready to start, because I'm out of work:)
obviously your a newbie, had you been around with linux about 4 or 5 years ago with the rest of us , then you would have realized what the word 'nonexistant' really means, Get a clue pal
the above post was not 'insightful', and it was rude to Loki software..
Thank you Loki for porting these games, Now I can enjoy some entertainment on Linux;)
Microsoft has apparently molested Kerberos in their latest W2K upgrade, can you clear up some of the confusion about how this will effect samba server->NT.
I've heard their exploitation of the protocol wont effect samba, some say it wreaks havoc, whats the scoop ?
"LucasArts announced that they will be partnering with Sony and Verant (the guys who brought us EverQuest) to bring us a massive multiplayer RPG based upon the Star Wars universe. The article doesn't give any dates, but I'm sure we're all gonna be in line for this one. "
I will not be in line for this one, Unless they have a Linux version.. because all I need these days is Linux.. if they dont have a linux version then I dont need their game. So fuck em, cus i know they aren't going to make a linux version. fuck em
I've downloaded it, sent it to 18 of my friends, and asked each of them to send it to a friend explaining why. Pointless, i suppose, but I feel a moral obligation to bring freedom to the information.
I like Free BSD , but sometimes I wonder about it.. like some of the commands in Free BSD sometimes act a little whacky, but every operating system has its quirks, Free BSD is no exception.
In my home I have two Free BSD boxes, one is basically a web server and the other does mail and ftp.. Free BSD has proven a good solution for my needs and i wouldn't give Free BSD up. GNU/Linux still fulfills my needs for a Great Workstation and dialup ppp server, all in all Linux and Free BSD are nice packages.
what i dont understand, please enlighten me

why do people and companies that live/reside outside of u.s. borders let american companies dictate to them how they can play ? I dont remember the canadian parliament passing the DMCA !
I will never be governed by the laws that folks such as Teddy Kennedy and Bill Klinton enact. Those laws are for you americans, You can keep them, in fact, shove them right up your ass.

the OpenNap server already has these features and its been available for quite some time now, there is even the flexibility to do porn searching just like the software in this story and iMesh (avi's, mpegs, au, etc). Opennap can be found Here. here is a list of the available napster clones excluding the one in the story.
BWap -- standalone console unix client based on bx-nap plugin for BitchX
These are all open source and free, and will work with Opennap servers (although most right now probably aren't coded to take advantage of the Pr0n search extensions, yet. Give it some time though.
the article states that it is capable of 40mbps streams down, but also, it has a usb connector... Is not the usb throughput maximum near 10 mbps ? wow, doesn't take a genious to figure out that usb really sucks in this case
Why are there no debian packages ? Because Debian is in the Minority, and these guys dont have all the resources and time in the world... they are trying to grab the largest audience they can, and there are 100x as many machines running rpm as there are apt.
Redhat, Suse, Mandrake, Caldera, Phat, LinuxOne Distro(thanx Jcouto, heh), plus remember that story a few weeks ago about linux at universities, Notice how 90% of the university distros were redhat based... it reduces the complexity a huge amount to upgrade 150 machines with rpm than.tar.gz (sure they could have used.deb)..
.deb is not the right choice for Helix, probably never will be at this point in the game.
this has got to be the worst idea to ever come out of Openhype ever.. I prefer to be entertained by the genius and wit, of a person inspired and motivated to make us smile and laugh..
after reading the details now i'm beginning to wonder if Malda and his boys are condoning this persons actions (he is a thief, i hope he's considered a Felon in the eyes of the law as well)... so do Malda and his boys support his actions , I dont really know, but looking at the headline, i would think they do
I'm curious if anybody has good webpages or LUG urls that have setup projects for long distance wireless networks...
A friend of mine, that lives just about 3.2 kilometers from my house, wants to setup a wireless network.. but is something like this feasible ? There are several buildings blocking the line-of-sight..
Also, with the use of a directional attanae and reflecter, for greater gain, can the output power on these wireless cards be increased, say to 10 watts, 20 watts, or would I need special hardware for that ?

Think for yourself before you post.
there one other thing that is new, No Ratios. Show me somebody on efnet that has a real *LEECH* ftp/fserve and then we can talk..
:-/
without the ratios, and a easy to use interface, copywrite's are basically null&void these days

directory called packmoz.

just change the cd command to whatever directory

you may want to use this icon for mozilla,
its more appropriate in my opinion
