I'm working part time in a smaller school as admin. They have about 70 machines. One machine or a whole CS room is recovered/reimaged in max 20 minutes...... AUTOMATICALL!
I'm using a 5 lines linux-shell script, with ntfsimage and udpcast (multicast). And Yes: They're XP machines. And the PCs join the ADS domain automatically.

Well I dont like this. An AOL monopoly wolud be even worse than the current Microsoft one:
AOL not just only owns AOL, AOL is in our cinemas (LoTR is an AOL Time Warner production), it's in the press (Time magazine, and 50 others), it's my browser (guess who owns Netscape?)...
Having GNU/Linux AOL 7.2 on my PC scares me a bit...
If slashdot links to such polls, the result would rigged too... in a slightly other way, but:-)
Here is a nice URL to start: a ZDnet Linux Poll: http://polls.zdnet.co.uk/zdnuk/?p=26&m=1

Hey,
look at their press release first... They basically say that they published their studies about cloning humans. However this imho this does NOT mean they have already cloned someone.
From their Press release:
November 25, 2001 - Advanced Cell Technology, Inc. (ACT) today announced publication of its research on human somatic cell nuclear transfer and parthenogenesis. The report, published in today's Journal of Regenerative Medicine, provides the first proof that reprogrammed human cells can supply tissue for transplantation.
I'd really award the mozilla project for beeing the most collaborative Open Souce Project.
In addition this project brought some incredible useful and mighty tool to the community: Bugzilla.
IMHO a bugfix sent in using bugzilla almost always gets you a reaction of the developers.
The worst example for collaboration is the Linux Kernel:
.. trying to turn on the 3D desktop.

The most unstable OS I've (n)ever used.

I'd buy me a nice real modem...
Just my 0.02 euro
I dont understand why VA sold off their hardware (server) division... This was the only money making part of the company.
:)
Hope they sell SourceForge - since good projectmanagement is very important, I'll count on them!
