DAB is on a different frequency band.
The future use of the FM spectrum (when FM is totally closed down, which is a few years away still) has not been decided.
The alcohol in the drinks is exactly the same chemical compund. It is ethyl alcohol, which is the same regardless of how it is made, and what it is made from.
The difference is in the other content of the drink. Different ways of fermenting will give a different mix of chemical compounds, which may be the cause for the different effect of the drinks.
People spend more money than they strictly need to on lots of stuff. TVs, cars, furniture, houses to name a few.
And the answer is usually simple: People like nice things. People like different nice things. Some people really like a $1000 phone. Some people really like a $5000 PRS guitar.
There were discussions around tracking airplanes after the disappearance, and the simple answer was that while technically possible, the airlines had found it to be too expensive. As another poster has noted, satelite communication cost money.
Satelite communication use very high frequencies, which are attenuated by pretty much everything.
Considering that the black box most likely is not in the open air with clear path to a satelite, the chance of its signals reaching the satelite are pretty slim.
In the case of MH370, the black box is under water, so the signal would most likely not even reach the surface.
Historically, there are very few cases where the black boxes have not been found, so there is little reason to change how it is tracked.
Property tax (private) is part of the stated 40% (which I have never been close to. More like 33-35%).
There is no gift tax or inheritance tax.
Also note that the tax inclued health insurance, and public pension (although most people have a private one paid by the employer on top of the public one).
The income tax covers state and local income tax. It also includes health insurance and pensions (although most have additional pensions covered by employer).
This is for businesses, and is a convenient way for businesses to stay current in their versions. It looks like an extension of Office365, which is alredy a suscription service.
A lot of businesses already pay for Office365. Makes sense to add Windows and management tools so that they can manage their PCs. This is not meant for home users.
>The electricity sector in Noway cannot simply ban competition from natural gas because people will vote with their wallets and overturn this ban
There is no ban on natural gas, but for home use, there is simply no infrastructure for it. Around where I live, it was offered as an option in some small areas being built (a few hundred houses), but the interest was very limited, and I have not seen any discussion around it since then.
As one other commenter has stated: It has more or less happened already.
Petroleum for heating homes is rare in Norway. Pretty much all private homes are heated by electricity, with heat pumps being pretty popular.
The ban on heating homes with oil is barely showing up in the headlines (I had forgotten about it when it showed up on/. - it is old news), as nobody cares.
Most homes in Norway are heated by electricity.
Norway has lots of hydroelectric power.
Interesting that what is a non-issue in Norway gets on the/. frontpage...
It is not free, but becaus it is now included in the regular cost, competition will mean it will overall be cheaper. Where I live, the cost of the cheapest usable subscription (1 GB data, phone and text included) went up by approx $4. For those who do not want a price increase, it is also possible to get a subscription without roaming at the old fixed cost, but then you cannot use the subscription at all abroad.
FM is gone for the nationwide channels. Local channels will be on FM a few years more.

A real "blind study" would be substituting ethanol alcohol with methanol.
That may very well be a factor. It is well known that carbon dioxide speeds up alcohol absorbtion.
No. Just No.

Why do you even need to ask?
Why would that matter?
The quite popular UE Boom speakers are Logitech, but for some reason they have a separate brand for some of their audio products.
They are not going to spend $50 trying to fix a product with a $10 production cost :-)
>First off, nobody has really looked at the evidence.
Oh yes, they ahave looked at the evidence.
All of the evidence.
Over and over again.
And the evidence does not give an answer.
>Then you have dead zones basically where even today a plane cannot be accurately tracked? Really? who believes this?
Eveybody who knows anything about the size of the area. You do not put radar towers in the middle of the ocean.
One important question is how much money they should spend on a search with pretty much no chance of success.
But that would not be done by the black box.

Norway is following the EU regulations on this (as on a lot other stuff).

As it cannot be joined to a domain, it is not for business.
XP Embedded is still supported.
