    it was actually not an exception but a definition of a boundary between derivative work and original work. nVidia is accepted due to the binary blob driver originally coming from windows and the nVidia obfuscated interface to it is open source/GPL.

    without his getting richer, GP wouldn't have a job. At least not where he's at. Remember the economy is not a fixed size pie with CEOs taking a larger piece. Just the act of them taking a piece makes more pies to spread around.

    The smallest powersupply in a Pavilion system of that era was around 120W. My router has a 5w wall wart. I think you may want to re-evaluate the power usage.

    it is 100% optional to follow the "Do not track" flag. If it's on by default it'll be ignored by default. If it's only on by a % of people that care then it will have a better chance of being followed.

    far from it. Linux doesn't think everything related to Linux should be open source. Just the hardware drivers and systems the interact directly with the kernel. Even at that he's put an exception to the GPL that linking is ok which is what lets nVidia release their derivative works in the first place.

    $250,000-300,000 for 1000 square foot house???? WTF are they building it out of gold bricks? $40-50 a square foot should get you a bare bones house. up to around $100 a square foot will get you a really nice place.

    My copy of The Hobbit book was in 3D. Fully interactive and everything I could turn the pages and one edge would get closer and closer, then begin to get farther and farther away. It was really cool.

    Really should be very easy. Grab your insurance paperwork and your backups. Shouldn't even need a U-haul. Let everyone else go home to collect their families and heirlooms and what not to make sure they're safe. If you have access to the irrigation system turn it on. Get everything good and wet. The fire fighters will be more likely to help if it looks like it's been taken care of.

    As an example see the US, State's power vs. Federal government over the last 200+ years. The UN is the Federal government of the world. Or at least working up to it.

    It wouldn't even need to be an Inuit, but someone who looks more native American I think would make a better fit.

    that's not the one I was thinking of, but would help. I don't think it was an actual add-on, but part of the Mozilla beta builds. It would just start loading random pages for something like 10 seconds then go to another random page and load it for 10 trying to induce a crash or memory leak that would then send debug info.
