    there are thousands of options for low-cost EV equivilant to a Model T. Just look at any golf course and you see i full of them. They probably actually have better stats over all than a model T as well.

    Here's your car analogy.

    The vast majority of users don't care what engine their car has. But if it doesn't perform to their expectations it falls flat. (whether those expectations are economy or performance) The iPAD is a great lowest common denominator product that will sell well for quite some time. I need a little more out of my tablet device though.

    $100 a month????

    get a free tier from Amazon Web Services. I've run a minecraft server on it for a while. Even their low end pay tier is only about $20 a month.

    If Game of Thrones HBO series is just "milking the fad" then milk it away and keep it coming. It was one of the best epic fantasy stories put to screen ever. As well as a very true to the book translation.

    what "RPG adventure elements" were being added to Scrolls before it was being called Scrolls. So far there's been almost no mention of what the game "Scrolls" was going to be about. Just that it was the next game after Minecraft that Mojang was going to produce.

    differentiating science from religion is as easy as differentiating science from Lord of the Rings. It's a method of understanding the world through repeatable experiments vs good stories that you may be able to obtain some moral values from. Science vs religion is just non-fiction vs fiction.

    In theory that's a good idea. How do you judge an attentive teacher? By the number of kids they've lost.? 1-5 means attentive, 6-10 means poor 10+ don't hire?

    My mother ran a large daycare in the 80s. She gave it up when one toddler was brought in from the parking lot by some parents coming to pick up their kid. Nothing bad happened but it very well could have. She was not willing to risk it from then on. No matter how good you think those teachers are you just don't know.

    Artificial gravity doesn't have to be Star Trek style. Even just a large spinning ring could provide 1G for the duration of the flight. There is no such low tech solution for FTL. Of course the spinning ring produces it's own problems.

    Yes, i started wearing glasses about 6 years ago and have been getting worse eyes and needing new prescriptions about ever 2 years. The first couple of times I went to get tested I was trying hard to read as much as I could from the chart feeling that I was being tested on how well I could read the letters. later I realized it would go faster if I just told the doctor I could probably guess some of the letters right, but they were still too blurry to be considered correct vision. My pride in getting the right answer was getting in the way of my need to get a correct prescription. It is hell to get old.

    Yea, they should go back and do this like 15,000 times and not publish results like this until there is a statistically valid number of results.
