    Policeman never knows or even needs to understand the how. Crime lab never has to show up to discuss under oath.

    Exactly, I make and sell an item that has a world wide market of maybe a few thousand. I make them by hand individually pretty much to order. I can't make a few thousand and even if I could it wouldn't be worth it due to the die and processing driving the price up and demand down. Am I morally obligated to provide these items? What if i decided I don't want to make them any more?

    There are 2 Walmarts within 3 miles of my house in opposite directions. I rarely visit them and there are plenty of other stores to purchase things from. If i need a cheap poorly made item, or it's 2am i can run to them to grab it. I see that as a good thing.

    VMWare has disconnected desktops. You check out your desktop and can take it with you on a semi thin client. (needs to have some cpu and memory power of course to run the disconnected session)

      What is a switch dies and takes out sixteen users?

    Then fire the network admin and vm admin for not building in redundancy. Two switches is all you need. And btw a 48 port switch can die and take out 48 desktop users, and it's much harder to build redundancy in that way.

    Civic=/=Civic

    I bought one back in 2003 and the civic hybrid was about $2k more than the nearly equivalent LX gas version. The lower grade versions were lighter and had smaller engines and got close to the 47mpg that I was able to get, but were less powerful had none of the higher end features. the Civic Hybrid to Civic LX was 47mpg to ~30mpg. Where the lower models could get 38-40mpg.

    Liberals usually work incrementally. It starts with simple net neutrality rules. Then later on, they add some more rules. And more. And more. A Killswitch and some hate-crimes legislation later and before you know the government is all up in your intarwebs.

    So you're saying someone with a physics degree hammering in a nail is equivalent, in literacy, to a grade school drop out hammering in a nail? Sure they may be equivalent in usefulness if you are trying to get nails hammered in, but their depth of understanding over what is happening is going to be completely different.
