That used to be called "sultry" in B.P.C. (Before Political Correctness).
Of course smoking used to be cool in movies. Now organizations count the number of light-ups in each film.
"Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the cough.".
On top of being expensive, I have a concern that such a huge system would be extrememly hard to upgrade on a consistent basis. My experience has been that government computer systems (outside of No Such Agency) tend to lag far behind commercial IT infrastructures. Quite possibly due to the massive budget/oversight/scale that the government impliments. I see in our own environment the difficulty in maintaining the most up-to-date versions of our software much less implimenting new technologies as they come to the forefront.
Can a beauracracy stay close enough to cutting-edge to warrant the expenditure or are they biting off more than they can chew?
The same points can be made for novels. It's been said that all story lines have already been plotted. It is the manner in which the story is related that makes for enjoyment in the reading. The manner encompassing character developement, use of descriptors etc.
I think "Paying attention to what your children are doing may lead to improved education, social interaction and general well-being." is a better warning message.
I think people are better served with paying for higher bandwidth. Frames per second won't keep you alive if your network connection is lagging. You'll just know your dead faster.
Someone with intimate knowledge of the codebase, who wrote the original code and debugged it, can typically turn defects around ten times faster than someone who was not involved in the original product.

If their code had so many bugs in the first place should they really be kept on?
Come on people! The French are using nuclear energy! Are you saying the French are smarter than us? Who came up with the Simpsons, huh? Who?! That's right. Case closed.
Nah. Americans are just more efficient. We don't need those extra letters. The "u" in Armour is probably the boss's relative so that's why it's there. Kinda like that extra union worker who's always leaning on the broom but never sweeping.

- Hence why society today is no longer even trying. Why struggle to improve when failure is rewarded as much as success?
I agree exactly. I get 1-2 yo games which play excellently on my "average" laptop PC. Bought for around $1k I've been able to play anything I cared to play.
Besides, amazing graphics don't necessarily mean a better game. The old TSR Goldbox games and MicroProse offerings held my interest a whole lot more than the 4 hours it took to complete COD4. Though I really do need to wean myself off of the multiplayer before my ass gets any bigger...
It's legal to use the telephone but there are laws in place against harrassment, intimidation and false representation. The internet should be no different. It is a means of communication and a semi-opaque one at that. Society is give-and-take. You can't have the advantages without accepting the deficiencies. Free speech is all well and good but you cannot use it to make false statements or harrass another party.
Wars have killed thousands but they've also saved millions. Vietnam is still considered the standard for "wrong wars" but leaving allowed the communist forces to invade South Vietnam. Thus they were able to send the brightest of the population to re-education camps and institute farming programs that starved said millions to death.
Besides, you blame corporations when you should be blaming consumers as they drive what companies do.
From what I've found, intelligence has never been a prerequisit for working at Verizon (or any phone company). We should be happy that there are several less idiots working for corporate America. Though I know that is like emptying the ocean with a teaspoon.

I just want to know; can I sue if my 911 call is delayed due to my downloading of porn while engaged in asphyxiation-heightened auto-erotica?
However, if the model shows tempatures are warming. Then the model is accurate. Because that is the consensus and the model is only confirming it. ;-)

Actually, they need the government converter box to be able to use the television looted in the last riot.
Maybe she preferred that organ over another of his.
Or maybe it is just that those that commit crimes are in such bad shape that their only hope is in a religious diety.
Well, duh. Look how well it worked for the Democrats.

Obama will take care of it for us.

What's bad is that I actually understood that without any issue. Please shoot me.

As the subject says; Why post the pictures? Is it really all that important for people to see?
Take it from me. Clippy is received a lot better than my Pedo-bear search assistant.

Thankfully they have one now so the economy should be shooting up sometime early next year. Woot!!
