    But wouldn't it be nice if you could *force* person B to have to buy from you, and double your profits? And prevent either one from making a backup copy of your picture, and make it so it is only compatible with picture frames that will be obsolete in 2 years? Now that is how you run a photography company! :-)

    I don't buy CD's simply because of DRM, over compression, content, and price.

    Does that stop you from downloading them too, or just buying them?

    UNIX was originally created as a multi-user OS, Windows evolved from DOS, which was a single user system. I think inertia played a large roll in the current situation. But still, MS has taken *way* to long to get with times. I'm actually shocked to hear MS allows all their users to have local admin rights, although it does explain a lot about the current state of Windows.

    I recall a couple years ago when it was impossible to visit a commercial website without having a video ad superimposed over the web page (closeable or not). I don't notice it as much anymore

    You didn't happen to switch to Firefox with adblock around that time, did you? ;)

    Haha, so true. Or they can see a complete image reflected in someone's eye in a photo, or see around corners on security system footage. I bet that show causes a lot of grief for clerks at photo marts.

    You think nobody ever had a private conversation over gmail or google chat?

    Anyway, I don't see gmail as being any riskier than using my ISP's email service. If you're gunna talk about secret stuff, don't do it over unencrypted email.
