No wonder crime is such a problem. You need to grow up and realize that breaking the rules/law is wrong whether or not you get caught.

So why is it that third world countries should be the only ones to benefit from this when it could be marketed internationally for the same price? Is it just that those who have spare money to spend in the first world nations can usually be gouged out of ten times more than $100.

No, it's so the thirteen Principals of OLPC can drain the $10 million with their salaries and bonuses while still looking good in the public eye by "thinking of the children" of poor underdeveloped countries. Their web site states they will not even begin production until 5 to 10 million machines have been ordered and paid for in advance.

These people are supposedly developing new technology for the laptop, and they expect to get them out the door for less than $100? I hope I'm wrong, but I see this organization going bankrupt soon after they reach the 5 million or so goal. Of course, the 13 Principals will have already lined their bank accounts with millions.

It was only about 25 years ago that calculators became even remotely commonplace, and I'm glad of that. Having to do everything by hand, wheather or not I needed it in the future (I did, by the way, I went into electronics), really helped understand mathematics. Now I don't know about other places, but I sub part time in the middle school of a very small town ( 4000 people, 150 middle school students (how the hell do I get the damn less than sign in this thing??)) and I can tell you, none of the 8th graders can do simple arithmetic without a calculator, much less algebra. I don't think it's dumbness on their part, so much as laziness. They're allowed to use calculators for everything, so they do. This may make most of them ignorant, but not dumb. Although there are a fair share of the dumb.

I see no inaccuracy in the original post. The Web is part of the Internet, and cannot function without it. Referring to a device connected to the Internet via a Web server as being on the Internet is in no way incorrect.

A PIN is an acronym for Personal Identification Number. Referring to it as a PIN number (Personal Identification Number number) is wrong. I don't care if it is the "popular term", it's still incorrect.

Web is short for World Wide Web. There is nothing wrong with referring to it as such.

With this method, you would need a secondary transmitting/receiving system to send the location back to the mower. With a distance of 10 to 12 feet between the receiving antennas and a fast receiving/calculation system you should get more than enough accuracy for what you need. Also note the safety/leagle issues brough up by others.
