Finally, when I set Discussions to the D2, there IS a "Retrieve X Comments" control, but it has no "All" option, only "Many" "Few" and "More". See: http://i.imgur.com/NNGxK.png

Does this option seriously exist, or are you just fucking with me?

Can you point to some sort of study (or even just advance an argument) that posits that decriminalization of drugs would cost MORE taxpayer money?

Even if you had to create a whole new Department of Rehab, and an increase in crime from addicts, I can't imagine that it would actually cost more than the money saved from disbanding the war on drugs + tax money gained recreational sales + the income taxes paid by those who now aren't in fucking prison + income taxes on the new jobs created selling and producing the stuff.

If you're going to design a guitar or drum set to be played on a iPad screen, why would you draw them exactly like their real life counterparts? They are just buttons and GUI controls, why not arrange them in a way that makes sense for a hand tapping on the screen? Word Wars was a not very exciting documentary about tournament Scrabble produced by a tournament Scrabble player, mostly about his layabout friends on the East Coast. He picked bizarre personalities on purpose.

I play tournament Scrabble, decidedly not at the expert level, but I can tell you that while we're all a quirky group of people, for the most part there is a good mix of educated professionals amongst the guys that have to bunk 4 a room at a tournament because they can't hold a job lest it affect their character string study. A lot of CS/programmer types too, Scrabble being the pattern / board positions / probability game that it is.

Probably more to do with the fact that those 'resort' prison countries:

    A) Also take care of their non imprisoned citizens -- they have functioning social safety nets.

    B) Don't have America's shitty attitude towards ethnic minorities, or have very homogeneous culture.

I mean don't get me wrong, America's brutal prison complex is horribly immoral, but if you transplanted it to Scandinavia magically without fucking up their social safety nets, I don't think it would really RAISE crime at all.
