Yeah, now no chance of an open source DRM package. What a tragedy.

I havent used iTunes myself, but I would have expected then to make allowances for track length....
Sometimes they do, but occasionally they don't. This can be advantageous, though, I got Pharaoh's Dance, Bitches' Brew, and Spanish Key off Miles Davis' Bitches Brew album for.99 each. That's a little over an hour of some of the best music ever recorded.
I would like to know how this is modded insightful.
Stupid libertarians using mod points. You can just call it SLUMP. Hmmm, this post will get SLUMPed down too, so better post it with my karma bonus. And don't worry, I'll repost it when this gets modded below -1.
Without a doubt, we here in Phoenix may already be living on borrowed time. Water here is pulled from 3 sources. Groundwater, as you mentioned, reservoirs on the Salt and Verde Rivers, and from the Colorado River via the Central Arizona Project.
The problem with Phoenix is the people refuse to live without their lawns and their golf courses. Just plain refuse to do without it.
I think he's referring to article 1, section 9, clause 5, not the commerce clause. And I think the justification for the sales/use tax is that it applies to where the title is transferred, which would be (I think) where the good reaches you. So the tax doesn't attach to the goods as it passes the border, but rather at the moment of transfer of title.
I guess you could make a dormant commerce clause argument against it, but it probably wouldn't work because it isn't discriminatory.
In the book themselves some just have a warning that if the book it is a missing the front cover it could of been illegally sold, and for the would-be purchases not to buy it. As a purchasers I am under no legal requirement, just a moral one.
That's why you tear out the warning too, then poof no legal OR moral issue.
Are you suggesting that they're intentionally producing equipment that sucks ass? If so, to what end?
If he creates a corporate culture where a Republican ideology is prevalent, it's entirely possible that some low-level Diebold executive decides that the people in his jurisdiction wouldn't have really voted for that commie pinko hippie if they really knew about him, so why not change a few hundred votes here and implement the real will of the people...
Or are you just saying that Diebold got the contract because their president is a Republican? If so, that's funny. Every administration plays favorites... not just Republicans. Not to say that it's right, but I'd say it's the product of an election system that requires vast amounts of money.
And when the Democrats do it they deserve criticism too. I just don't think "well they all do it" invalidates criticism, and I certainly don't think the president of a prominent voting machine company should claim publicly that he is "committed to help Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year."
Yep, you do, most people do, Diebold doesn't. They're a sleazy company with a right-wing president who's actively campaigned for the Republicans. I wasn't sure if they were just corrupt or incompetent, now I think they're probably both.

And that's enough right there for the plantiff's case. At that point the defendant can defend by saying:

Not if the defendant is a media outlet, which the courts might consider slashdot to be. In that case the burden is on the plaintiff to show that the statements were untrue.
"The internet often breeds individuation and solipsism" Yes.. let's blame the internet for every social evil! Si.
No, they were blaming the internet for two very specific social evils. Why would you extrapolate EVERY social evil from that?
Then you're not a real geek.

1. This is high-school grade philosophy
Actually that's pretty good by slashdot standards.

The regular trains actually stop at night, you're just hearing the ghost trains, which are noticeably louder than their corporeal counterparts.

Shenmue 2.
Chimps aren't matriarchal, unless you're talking about bonobos, and even then it's kind of an iffy theory.
Chimps are a kind of ape.
The last thing this movie needs is some bubble-brained ditz bouncing around Zebes in a slinky catsuit.
I disagree.

6.) Try not to use "if" or "for" statements. They take too much time.
Agreed, better to replace them with "if" then "goto" statements...
Considering people claim to be able to tell the difference between a Stratovarius (spelling?) and an inferior wooden violin
I'm picturing a cross between a stratocaster and a Stradivarius...
We had an IBM machine big enough that I could walk inside it. Ah, the good ol' days.
How did the Light Cycle race go?
That's a good thing. If some piece of OSS did this people would praise it as being "robust", but MS gets criticized...
