Actually SmartScreen on Windows 8 is a good way to see what my kid is doing on the Internet without some 3rd party crapware that is definitely using your shit in ways you don't know about. And as other posters have said you can just turn it off.
So - they don't care. Point to OWA/Activesync, use SSL VPN to get to apps and RDP to your box in the office, done. A lot of small companies won't be here soon but a lot of big corps are there now. They do not give a crap about enterprise penetration.

Just like companies stopped paying for DSL and ISDN lines, cell phones are quickly becoming the next on the chopping block. BB is feeling this because they ignored the consumer market. The open alternatives for mobile email hosting are too cheap to ignore and 'good enough', particularly because corps are paying for Exchange CALs AND BB licenses AND for the phone AND for the plan. Doesn't make financial sense for companies to carry all that cost when you are available 99% of the time anyway when it matters on a laptop.

Anyway... I think it is silly to assume that anyone would require a broadband Internet connection in order to play games on a console. That's just silly to cut that much market out.

I've traveled there on business and agree. Very impressive low-cost for access infrastructure. It is good they are being heavy handed with the cellular carriers though - the prices for international roaming are robbery there and forces people onto VOIP if they are working temporarily in the country.
You can opt out of any and all location services in the system's settings and on first install on Android. I am assuming it actually does if you click 'No'.
I hired a 60+ year old and I turned 30 this year. I even got approval to hire him on the same level as I since he was a contractor. I think age-ism is definitely out there, but true professionals look at the facts.
People want to see Win8/Metro - it will be the same UI across all MS stuff backed by the cloud. It will be interesting to see it all tied together in one place.
Desktop synching is obsolete. That is the whole point of Android. You don't sync with a desktop period. A USB connection just allows you to do USB Debugging or mounting storage. "Real phones" don't sync to a desktop at all.
I would guess that marriage is actually a construct to limit the creation of "illegitimate" children with reckless abandon and make it more attractive economically (and morally for the religious) for a man to settle down with a family. Imagine if there was no such thing as marriage when women had no equal rights? We would live in an anarchy.
The question is -- have we evolved enough to properly foster a civil society without the concept of marriage at all - which if you boil it down - is a way to control the male instinct to procreate unabashedly?
Yes the fad are Agile teams that all sit next to one another... but people tend to forget you will be down 1 FTE regularly because you all sneeze and cough on each other. Sickness runs rampant in those rooms... particularly if you have someone who is not hygienic in the group.

There's quite a CCTV, speed cameras, and speed measuring devices installation which has the underpinnings of a surveillance society.
Race and race relations are not great there, and there are many news articles and posts about that -- including this one ( a bit old but still relevant, this is a law focused on restricting freedom of expression and religious belief and are even extending it to campuses.)
A law like this would be directly against the US Constitution.
Also it has the 8th highest taxation rate/GDP ratio which I consider oppressive.
While on an individual basis it seems you can do whatever you want to kill yourself, there are some issues as a 'free society' just as in the United States that you guys are dealing with.
