The new bankruptcy laws seem to be evil (I may be wrong - but I want a real argument, not some right-wing rhetoric).

Remember, Bush is a "COMPASSIONATE" conservative.

Just ask the people of New Orleans about his bottomless "COMPASSION".

Letting New Orleans die and get replaced eventually by rich people living in cookie cutter developments in a city with no soul which is what will happen if nothing is done isn't even true "conservatism" - conservatives like to preserve - this is "corporatism" in favor of real estate developers instead - because that's what will go in the now freed up land - and you can bet the leeves will be built right this time when its rich white people living in their condos instead - they'll find the funding then.

The racism and heartlessness is sickening.

Get a judgement against you like that and 25% of your wages for many years or perhaps even your whole life will go to some court judgement - also your house will be sold, etc in many cases.

They made "do no evil" such a centerpiece of their public stance on issues that to go against it would be a public relations disaster which could make people go to MSN and Yahoo. Everyone with Windows has easy access to MSN and absolutely everyone uses Yahoo (maps, mail, personals, etc) so Google could lose out badly.

    That would hurt the shareholders.

Shareholders already complained about the China issues.

Plus, if the head of Google is religious, making him go against his religion's beliefs to satisfy shareholders would violate the First Amendment. Yeah, the First Amendment has been gutted (by BOTH parties), but under Bush (love him, hate him or anything in between on other issues, like bungling the Hurricane Katrina situation in New Orleans) you got to admit he supports religion (he has an office of faith based initiatives).

Google is known for being reliable, all inclusive and fair. They lose any of the 3, they go downhill. And with a 400+ stock price, there is a LONG way down.
