look to be honest I have seen the "lawyers" and to be honest I would not let anyone from Huawei bid on my contracts either and thats nothing to do with china but to do with quality
the fact that your going to be passing defence department data over those links and you think for one moment someone won't tap that data ? your very deluded, what you can do is make it harder and one of the first places to look is at the network layer and how to secure that
for example a known problem from years back... most phone calls from the greek prime minster where intercepted on the network level at a Vodafone switch and guess who supplies Vodafone ? Huawei
thats enough for me to exclude them let alone all the other problems...
the funny thing is that Huawei have been trying to buy influence by paying old politicians in australia....
realistically hacking a wpa setup by a person with no experience is pretty unsecured (do you really want to know how many people have password1 or changeme...)
have a look at this:
http://open.youyuxi.com/
australia is censored beyond what I certainly expected...
ok so in a lot of countries block objecting sites...
in the UK (which is still in the EU) they block child pornography sites via DNS and url this even blocked part of wikipedia.org for a while until people noticed... (there is no public list)
so what really interest's me is how are they blocking those sites ? who sold this to them or did they develop it themselves and are they issuing SSL certificates for sites to inspect the payload of SSL traffic ?
yes... exactly, simply script it... why not just build it yourself and publish it... even outlook has scripting ability and hooks maybe this is what you need : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/mail-redirect/
its a bit like saying you can plug in a CAT 5 cable and get gigabit... the answer is it depends... the longer the cable the more the signal degrades and just because its digital does not mean it will produce the same results..
I guess the Kogan cables are not very long... dont get me wrong I think they are right most HDMI cables are a scam... but someone needs to actually test them before commenting...
but honestly who is going to listen... they are after fast bit of press... slashdot used to be about technical things..
the only reason why they can port office is because of.NET and the CLR
silverlight is kind of dead no matter how much noise people make because realistically you get a better reach if you either do things natively like C# or use javascipt and html (ask yourself this how many mobile users are you turning away if you have a website that has to use silverlight... look around you... would it not be better to engage the users on their mobile devices...)
the simple thing to do would be to create a decent web interface to OpenWRT and DD-WRT that can be branded by people and then we would be in a better situation ! most of them use linux anyway so it's simply that they dont know how to ship quality encourage them to use Open systems and not and they will
infact was there not a competition to write a good web interface ?
they are trying to derail the NBN and trust me this is the ONLY way australia is not going to be a backwater in 5 year (more than it is now)
they are nuts first they claim that wireless is speedier than fibre (what do they think forms the uplinks from the base stations....)
then they claim its not value for money (frankly the amount of bandwidth in australia is worth 100 billion but they wont see that as they dont depend on the internet for anything since right now it's so slow)
if you want to know what a society can do with lots of bandwidth go to sweden
australia needs something like NBN FAST and the politicians should stop playing games !!!!
great international client list
lots of gov contracts
absurdly great patents
dell I don't think could afford them
have fun
John
how about oh I don't know starting of with HTML5 and then failing back to flash...
the article was interesting to find out how they even think they are a startup...
but nope adobe flash required...
get someone with a clue about video or offload it to vimeo/youtube/brightcove
thanks

yes thats a very decent way to do things however in australia we have cap's so I would not want to give away my allowance...
living in other places I was unlimited and had no problem doing exactly what you do and giving away a portion of my bandwidth to those in need
maybe someone would help me out one day...

Ok I was just on the flight that had "turbulence" in a A380 and honestly it was kind of amazing falling out of the sky...

i was thinking maybe a fund to help educate people would be a more fitting memorial ?
how about a free e/book ?

good good
exactly they actually have systems....
lets sign emails using DKIM and DNS security and we could use that
honestly
I hate how everything is locked down...
I wish there was a nice way that people could syndicate between things i.e. an open network with a privacy model
I simply have not seen a nice way to do this any suggestions ?
(no Diaspora does not even look useful)
something with OpenID would actually be useful !

so this has already happened
wikipedia sliped onto the list of baned sites
this page caused the problem
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virgin_Killer
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virgin_Killer
so what happens when its a smaller site ?

simply because they split the rendering... surly it would have been better to test it and leave a "compatibility " view there ?
and what about support for PowerPC ?

what do you gain from having a smaller package ?
incompatibility with other phones and thats about it...
the package size does not impact significantly on phone design at all this is simply a case of laziness.. design around it
operators simply have no say it seems any more...
have fun and watch your bottom line disappear operators...

only outdated low security use finger prints i.e. borders and crime scene investigators

get an iris scanner

every major vendor has a linux version for MTA's
have a look at a mavisd.conf
DO NOT look at the Star newspaper it's like looking at the national inquirer....
the people who broke the news where UK channel 4
see this link for the story
http://www.channel4.com/news/britains-nuclear-subs-potentially-vulnerable-to-accidents
the document seems flattened but is here
http://robedwards.typepad.com/files/declassified-report-to-mod-defence-board.pdf/a
anyone actually able to copy and paste from it ?
why does the MOD use microsoft word for these type of things is beyond me...

p.s. do you think china et. al. have the same problems...
I'm game
which is it going to be ?
I would guess powerpc again
if IBM give Microsoft a powerpc license (they wont use it... it just makes lawyers feel good)
your guess and why ?

Surely powertrains can do better than this ?
can it not use a battery ?
this is not much use unless there is a context...
I mean if the driver weighs little surely they can achieve a higher speed.... so what are the rules ??

Does this include the directory server that mac's and windows machines can work with ?
