Saying something is "capable of playing" a game at X settings is a completely pointless statement for almost all hardware because the ability to play is based almost solely on having enough memory to load all of the assets. They need to state the average frame rate it gets at whatever settings they are playing it on.
You could play BF4 on a 300 MHz processor as long as you have enough memory, it would just look like a slide show.
Well it runs on bluetooth so you could potentially pair it with a PC or other devices and use any input device you want.
I have a Sphero (remote control ball) that uses bluetooth and is meant to be controlled with a smartphone, but I paired it with my PC and use a program that allows me to control it with a wireless Xbox 360 controller. It is much easier to control with a 360 controller and a lot more fun to use.
Who would want to employ anyone in New England when the taxes there are so much higher and the wages have to be so much higher to accommodate for the much higher cost of living?
Anything that can be done somewhere else cheaper will.
Current film and television frame rates are extremely slow compared to what humans can perceive. Just try watching the hobbit in 48 fps compared to standard 24 fps. The motion blur is reduced so much some people don't like it. They feel sick because it is so much more clear. Other people don't like it because the it makes it easier to tell all the special effects are fake.
In my opinion it is awesome and I want even higher frame rates, but special effects need to catch up.
My work laptop uses encryption and was upgraded from an HDD to an SSD about a year ago. The performance upgrade was definitely worth it, and everyone else that got the upgrade agrees. I'm not sure which type of encryption it uses, but it is the kind where you have to type in the password before it boots or lets you do anything.
I also upgraded from an HDD to a non-encrypted SSD in one of my home computers and I would say the performance increase was about the same.
My point kind of whooshed over your head. I never said common conception is fact based. I said he is going against the common conception so the burden of proof is on him.
All the things you're talking about aren't even related...
What you said is against the common conception. You'll need to provide some facts if you want to convince anyone. Otherwise you're just going to be considered a troll.
Telling someone to google it does not count. You need specific primary source examples. You should read up on logical fallacies, or perhaps just think a little bit about how what you're saying could be wrong. Because it is really easy to see you are wrong.
Doesn't your phone have a camera flash that can be used as a flashlight and works just as well? I think this has been standard for the past 5 years, and most phones have a flashlight app that comes on the phone.
"not least of all because Australia is one of the most sparsely populated countries on Earth"
This statement is extremely misleading. Australia's population lives almost entirely in urban areas and has vast amounts of land that are not populated at all. This makes it a much, much easier task, not a much much harder task.
Actually the Mirasol displays I'm referring to have even faster refresh rates than LCDs and can play videos just fine.
The backlighting can be solved just like the backlit eink Nook and Kindles.
After doing some googling it looks like they stopped production and development last year because they were too expensive.:(
Same, but I want one where the main screen is color e-ink. Mirasol color e-ink displays have been in Korea and China for years now on tablets. What is taking so long?
Microcenter is the best place to buy processors if you are near one of their locations. They are usually at least $50 cheaper and have even better deals if you bundle it with a motherboard. It is basically what Newegg would be like if it had a physical store.
I built a machine a couple months ago and bought a few parts from NewEgg, a few from Microcenter, and a few from Amazon. The only reason I got some things on Amazon is because I'm a prime member.
I use Opera 12 and it briefly flashes the your browser is not supported before continuing. It also used to repeatedly ask me to choose a theme until I chose a theme using the yahoo mail app on my phone.
Yahoo mail used to be good and I actually preferred it over gmail until about 2 years ago. Every update it seems to get worse. There are tons of bugs that should have been found with any decent QA process.

This one too. http://www.meatspin.com/
It took you two hours to find the windows key on the keyboard?

Somebody stop them!
It wasn't like that in every town....

uh yeah, but it is good to at least make sure it compiles before you send it off for review.
I'm waiting for the cliffnotes or the movie. I don't have time to read 5000 pages.
-10C is nothing, it often gets -10F there.
Why would the database be GPU based? It could easily use both CPU for all the normal stuff and GPU where CPU just doesn't cut it.
Select * from orders order by amount For huge sorting queries gpu destroys cpu.

Less delay in communication devices improves the lives of ordinary citizens.

I have heard New Yorkers drive differently, but I think it would be girls in low cut shirts,
