    Also Opera has a facility to easily block a feed. Right click, click on the offending item, click done. you're done.
    How many sources does this company have? Unless they have a lot, their adds are gone.

    How much RFI does this type of device cause ( Yes the IR won't) but ...
    The guy next door trying to work a little DX from the south pacific , and gets creamed by the inadvertent radiation from such a device is
    not going to be in a good mood. The "not good" mood could vary , from his giving up radio to burning down your house. Likely the response will be somewhere in between (like frying your electronics). It's surprising what a well directed kilowatt will do.

    The idea of MSFT deleting a program (albeit a piece of malware) from my machine bothers me.
    When will their idea of malware differ from mine?
    Will they always do it correctly (no collateral damage)?

    I recently purchased a VIP211K receiever from Solid Signal. I think other places may have it cheaper.
    THe VIP211K can for $40.00(one time) be enabled as a pvr. (you provide your own external USB hard drive)

    Solid signal has a package deal, receiver and antenna (it is a three satellite feed horn for west coast people)

    I don't like pumping my own gas, the novelty of the idea wears off real fast in the rain.
    I vote against pumping your own gas just like I vote for no sales tax. I like things the way they are.
    If I wanted to make Oregon into Calif (californication) I would have moved to CA. If the the CA people
    don't like the way Oregon runs things just get on I-5 and head south.

    I sent an email to Amazon thanking them for bringing the FF plugin (Download 4 free) to my attention. I would have never noticed
    without their help. I mentioned that they might want to investigate the "Streisand effect" on wikipedia.

    Got back a nice note advising me that it is safe to enter credit card numbers on their site and my privacy will be protected.
    I wonder what the reply would be if I inquired about the sky colour on their planet?

    While Dish seems to be able to keep there programming working (programs show up on my screen ) They can't make web sites so save their souls.
    Maybe this reflects the split between Echostar and Dish. Their site has gotten better but is still a flash laced hodge podge. At least the links now lead to something and it may work.

    Doing with out flash just removes a lot of banal subject matter from my view.
    I have a spare machine with flash, for those rare sites that I must use that have flash (Dish network).

    And Pine is new technology, I recently decided there might be something better that mailx.
