    If all the mathematical models for physics were clear and precise it would mean that all of the physical problems were solved.
    I don't think you assertion that Physicists are poor at math is grounded in reality.

    The purpose of the plasma is to maintain a certain temperature profile since the fuel (trash) has irregular burning characteristics.

    But his solution to this according to his logic would be for MS to release their OS more often, so you can do little upgrades to your machine and run on the new OS.

    I haven't had to upgrade my machine AT ALL and gotten 5 years on XP- sounds like the better option to me.

    I don't understand your logic here- are you saying that Microsoft should have designed Vista to work on 5YO hardware?

    I don't know how many times I have cursed Firefox for preventing me from typing in a URL while it loads the 'URL Helper' (or whatever it is called) when 99% of the time I can type it in faster than it can look it up.

    Just an example of developer hubris when it is applied to interfaces.

    Use Java for the interface and for the most part the code will be portable.

    It would be nice for them to put one or two 'old' processor scores for reference, I am using a 5YO celeron and don't have the slightest idea what these scores mean in to relation to what I am using.

    I will take tax incentives over new laws any day-- I would rather there be a consumption tax on gas than outlawing of all SUVs, even believe that driving them is kind of dumb.
