    Mainstream support for IE 10 ended in 2016 except for on Windows Embedded 8 Standard and Windows 2012 server. Support will end for these two OS in January 2020.

    A single screw-making line ought to pump out 1,000 screws an hour- or more- and they should have several of these machines!

    Why do you think this? They probably have one CNC machine that can do this and expanding that will cost them close to six figures... and why would they make this investment unless they have a contract to justify it? These are all solvable problems but obviously Apple has been spoiled by not having to do any planning in China.

    It's not about head count it is about a company investing in a very expensive CNC machine.

    APM reaches 1500 per minute in this match which is 3x what the best gamers can do. Gamers tend to establish a rhythm by maintaining APM even if they don't need to which skews results.

    They don't mention any limit on APM, imagine being able to micro every unit in your army real time? Starcraft is a bad example of AI beating humans.

    Never going to happen. Remember in the 90s when drag and drop programming was going to take over? I will posit this- sufficiently defined requirements are indistinguishable from computer code.

    I think this is more about age then sex- it's well known that your earning potential slides when you go past 50. Employers don't want to invest in older employees.

    Not only that you are in a much better bargaining position with prospective employers 'I am off work now because of government shutdown' then 'I got laid off' which carries a certain stigma.

    I've suggested this before they should just have have the same models and attach a year to it with incremental upgrades like auto manufacturers do with cars. The whole new model thing is costly and passe and nobody cares anymore.

    Imagine if car makers came out with a new model every year? Suppose Apple had a SE type phone with same basic format with incremental improvements each year (like a '2019 SE') they would sell a bajillion of them, because consumers for the most part DONT like change. Only a small percentage of users wet their pants over new features. It would be an open admission that 'our phones are just about perfect, so why do we need a new model?'

    It's rich people that want to live forever and benefit the most from age related treatments. They are happy to share the cost with the middle and lower class.
