  4. They got busted last year for hiding iphone 6 battery issues by throttling the cpu... I believe there was a class action lawsuit and they were giving people a real cheap price to replace their batteries.

    I don't think this will be used for picking people out of a crowd but more for things like processing passport application or employment background checks. If you get a positive it just means digging deeper.

  6. Except that Apple has gotten dinged pretty badly lately for screwing up with throttling issues. This should be one area they would test extensively.

    They do this so they can claim to advertisers that they have XYZ number of customers.

  9. It's a pain and expensive to maintain two computers. I have 3 monitors one of which is 4k on my old think pad. I do most of my development on a virtual machine so I am glad it's a laptop.

  13. What you say is true but mobile phones have cannibalized sales of desktop/laptop for casual users. So the customers you have left for computers are professionals. If this is the case stop dumbing down/marketizing your professional machines! They should just get rid of the line completely if they plan on continuing their current path.

    But it is backwards chemistry. Nobody in industry has a bunch of stuff on the shelf and says 'what can I make with this'. There is a chemical they need to make and they ask themselves 'how can I make this'.

    Chemically the almond 'milk' has more in common with animal milk, it is a fat based emulsion whereas juice is dissolved sugars.

    While I don't think drilling on Mars for diamonds makes any sense I wonder how hard it would be to drill deeply with the reduced gravity and colder interior?

    If you are right then this bad state of affairs rest squarely on the shoulders of Amazon. They shouldn't punish vendors for accurately conveying inventory to customers. Maybe amazon could require some kind of when available date to keep items from getting orphaned.

    Why wouldn't they just mark the item out of stock? I am not being provocative, JC as to why the high price would be a better option.
