  1. It's not an oops, it was intentional. Selling a few cents of grain based food for several dollars is big business.

    I agree totally... he is just someone that happened to be in the right place at the right time and created something of dubious social and financial value that will quickly fade. It's like hearing from some pop/rock star that believes their own BS.

  6. Why have H1b workers? If we need more people like this then we should make it easier for them to immigrate and become citizens. Of course then the companies that hire them won't have the leverage to depress their wages....

    The lower tail of IQ is most likely not represented at your job, so the average iq of people you work with is likely greater than 100. So unless you program for the general population this is not true(even then the 'tail' probably doesn't use computers at all)

    Just because people don't care about tech doesn't make them less than average. The vast majority of most companies depend on bright people that aren't necessarily tech savvy.

  14. And what are those.. the Chevy bolt? All the other EVs look like complete crap and would be embarrassing to drive. I don't want to go to far into depth but a lot of car styling is predicated on companies not wanting to cannibalize their marque cars....so they give them crappy 'inspirational' styling.

    Just like the other Tesla models they are going to trickle into the market and hopefully the worst recall items will be discovered early on.

  16. Just an anecdote- was purchasing a house in 1998 and our home appraiser was using a Newton- did the whole thing on it. There are all kinds of businesses now that use similar devices such as UPS. I think it was ahead of it's time but Apple doesn't market to businesses very well.

    "FB has its place. It is extremely good at getting your message out to everyone you care about."

    Except this isn't true any more.... with all the junk that gets posted and people not posting/reading as often it is losing this advantage.

    All of the companies on S&P were started at some time by businessmen with capital an idea. Or are you just dense?
