Really? The Dell E6500 compares very nicely to the MBP. Similar price, similar customer group, the same well made design (the latter of course is a matter of subjective taste).
Dell claims 19 hours battery life with the extended cell. That would be 10 hours more than the 9 hours the new 15" MBP have.
All I could take from the article was that he took lots of material home. I do not read anything about a proof for giving the information to China, or receiving money for it for that matter.
The quantity of apps on the app store suggest that you're mistaken. A few developers have had some high profile troubles (made high profile because they complain loudly...) but how many thousands of apps have been approved?
How do you know its a "few developers"? Have you any hard numbers to prove you claim that almost everyone is happy? Just claiming something does not make it true.
I do not have hard numbers, but a number of my friends actually have applications in the App Store, and I have heard quite often that the approval process is pretty terrible. But I would never claim this as the objective truth, it could be sampling bias.

The proclaimed issues of the PP were important enough for two percent of the population to actually vote for a small party, well knowing that PP probably does not make it into the government and their votes would be lost, somewhat.
But the actual percentage of population being p**d off at the german government for these reasons is probably far higher, otherwise FDP and green party both would not have gained so much votes.

Internet censorship, surveillance, freedom of speech - the fact that the current german government does not care a rats ass for any civil rights. Honestly, I have done quite some windows programming and always thought it better than its reputation. But I always hated developing for Windows Mobile. It felt to me like the most neglected corner of Windows Development. Confusing and contradicting documentation, a toolchain that was a pain, a totally over engineered syncing process (ActiveSync). Part of the.NET toolchain does not work... I could go on and on.
This may not sound much, but it is actually pretty good for a new and totally unknown party with a scary name. Hopefully the aims of the party (internet Censorship, civil rights etc) will now get some public attention.
