I earn my living and I'm told I'm a good coworker. But while I've done what I can to learn to be around other people, my wife and I tend to stick to ourselves outside of our 40 hours.
Also to add, I don't mean the deep end as in toss em in and walk away but in the more exposure the better. Explaining the meaning in a lot of interaction can help. I learned most of my understanding of facial expressions from reading and movies. Most of my knowing expressions is based on kind of pattern recognition, this kind of smile means this, plus eyes looking this way means this, so on. Also explanations of why something is good or bad in the interaction they just had helps. It took me a while to stop trying to understand things and just accept something is the way it is and wont make sense.
I just don't see talking about it before hand working very well. I learned the most when something went very badly and I had to look back at it and file away the memory for future reference of something not to do again.
Yeah I know how the emotionally stuck thing can go and having to force myself to drop something I've worried too long. Probably should have added to my post YMMV.
I've never been diagnosed, a few online tests put me solidly Aspergers but that doesn't mean a whole lot. With that being said, for myself I've never been able to intuitively understand social interaction. Over time I've been able to think through social interaction and get a better handle on them.
My parents tried putting me in a learning disability freshmen orientation in college but I went to the normal orientation instead. I've found the best teacher is just time being around people. The more I observe, the more it seems to make sense.
And ultimately I've just come to the realization that we are all weird in our own way, anyone who can't handle that can stick to their own clan.
I've tested it with my Galaxy S5 and found it typically overestimates steps by 25% to 75%. The primary reason appears to be I'm usually wearing dress pants with fairly loose pockets. And no I'm not going to strap a phone to my leg at work and I'd knock it off of a carrying case.
I thought Rosetta found that 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko is not out gassing evenly. So if things are primary happening in the neck of the rubber ducky, does this reform the shell after melting and rehardening again?
For no graphics program development I found linux to be about as easy to use as the PC. I did have to learn a lot of command line stuff but I prefer that to digging through dozens of menus to find what I'm looking for. YMMV.
Bingo. Mass surveillance will never end as it has existed for as long as surveilance was possible. New technology just extended the reach.
It is defence against surveilance that will make a difference, encryption as you suggest. This is similar to physical force. There was never a defense against attacks with bare hands, clubs or swords other than being able to fight back. It wasn't until guns allowed people without physical strength to effectively fight back that it was no longer just who had the best soldiers.
People who want to misuse anything for their own gain will never go away, we will always have to actively counter them. Don't expect humans to just smile and play nice because you ask them to. Or as has been said better, all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
Yeah because no one's account went to 0 overnight. Not saying banks haven't done criminal stuff but it hasn't resulted in people losing everything. As a result, most people didn't really care.
From what I'm reading, most of the problems isn't with the bitcoins, it is with the people who say if you give us bitcoins we'll give you money and keep giving you money. I don't think I've heard of bitcoins being stolen from someone's own wallet.
Bitcoin is like regular bank accounts where most of the moeny is in virtual ones and zeros. Except regular banks have regulation and insurance with decades of history showing they work in most cases. Not to mention if a major bank tried to run away with everyone's money the lynch mob would be epic.
I read free upgrade in all of those articles which leaves room for things that require being paid for. Though there are notes about free upgrades and support for the life of the device which is promising. Though by life of the device, does that mean the box (I bought a large desktop box some time ago which I plant to use for all future upgrade), the motherboard or the hard drive?
Because I primarily use my smartphone for talking to other people and the purpose of my TV is usually to sit down and listen. I've software disabled all of the microphones on my laptops because they keep trying to turn on while playing multiplayer games for voice chat, which I wouldn't use a built in microphone for. Maybe its just me.
With Steam Linux I've been very close to just moving everything I have over to Linux. Maybe I should make use of my Windows 10 Preview partition to try that out...
Citation please? The places I've seen it as free could be interpreted as the purchase price is free, not the subscription. Or it could be free as in beer to all Win 7 and 8 users. I have yet to see anything definitive.
Heh, I don't have that much trouble but my arms tend to hit corners of things because I keep failing to realize how close I am.

Quit making excuses for your lack of social skills, and quit expecting the world to adapt to you.
I never asked the world to adapt to me, it can just keep out of my way.
I make a good living fixing the results of those H1B visa holders and other low paid but not very disciplined developers.
The things I read when I have no mod points.

But not very fluffy...
Sounds like a prime set of functions to reorganize into proper classes.

Last I checked, most companies that want to make money with open source do better with providing services anyway.

Maybe I'm just too cynical.

Well Apple told me the latest update to my calculator app will make it run 0.00000001% faster on all calculations!
I dont need a TV that can hear me, sounds like an extra appendage that I just need to remove if I buy a Samsung TV.
I suspect this does not qualify but... http://www.jackyliang.com/jack...
