Control being control of what I can do (government) or what I can see (media).
I am the decider of my own morality. So long as you inform me about what I am signing up to see or do in ways that do not impact others, I will chose if it is acceptable. You have no right to determine my own morality as long as it impacts me.
When my choices and actions impact others in ways they cannot chose to avoid or ignore (ie I can and successfully have ignored most of these videos as I believe the description was sufficient. Others may chose to view them.) you may step in and inform or restrain me as appropriate. Until I have crossed that line, please remain OUT of my life.
Thank you.
... Now if we could just all agree on what actually impacts other people, sigh.
I'm guessing those who use gmail are some of the more tech savvy of the population. Those that use online banking I suspect include a number of less tech savvy people. The tech savvy people have little trouble with dual authentication, the less so may have more trouble with dual authentication and thus complain about how hard it is. Could even be a result of the management (Google vs bank managers) having better technology understanding.
After they get rid of all those Christian, Muslim, Athiest, Gay, whatever trolls and all you hear is crickets. Yeah I'm being extreme but I'd rather a few trolls slip through rather than a lot of good posts getting pulled.
Or those with higher income are more likely able to pay their medical bills. Of course the point of view should be that lower income needs insurance more than higher income but since insurance is a for profit buisness...
Bingo. Bitorrent is not and never has been illegal. What people put on it might be but the protocol is not. Just like someone hacking into the white house does not make my computer an illegal device due to it having the ability to do something illegal.
It works for me. On average I eat ~1750 calories a day (I work at a desk so my needs are fairly low). When I eat too much for a few weeks I then just eat less than average for about twice that time to get back to my proper weight (cheeseburger instead of big mac). I just have to keep on top of it.
I'm at the mid to low range of normal BMI. I eat at fast food restaurants a couple times a week and don't avoid HFCS or corn products. I don't see any of this as a silver bullet beyond the simple idea of not eating more calories than you burn, regardless of the source.

I'm hoping the GP was sarcasm...
US is is one of the worst for income inequality but Greece and UK aren't too far behind in that category.
OK now that is cool
I use recursion fairly often for traversing unconstrained trees. Though I'm lazy and never really looked if there was a better way to do it.
Some people would say yes, others no.

Well as they say "Those who cannot remember the past...". Did I hear bell bottoms are coming back into style?
10 PRINT "ce qui la baise" 20 GOTO 10
There you go. Though while I could write that in at least a half a dozen programming languages, I had to use google for the translation...
The future of fine art. Ugly pictures because those are the only ones not generated by an algorithm.
That is not a bad idea.
Lowest common denominator? Not that I like it either.

Sir, I lost my keyfob and can't log into my medical website, can you help me?
Thanks for the post, it is good to hear what is actually going on rather than going off the assumptions we generally make.
Does this actually prove that enough people complaining about injustice does in fact produce results with our government?

I'm not sure I'd be bragging about the FCC making AOL possible. Just saying...
Moderation being to limit to a healthy amount, which in some items in none.
Was I supposed to hear that as a Futurama "The Scary Door"?
Just with the help of the bomb squad.

This is what scares most people, or at least me, about ideas of using big data to predict criminals or otherwise mess up people's lives.
