    Why not focus on fixing all flaws in existing Windows??
    There's a youtube video with Mark Russinovich where the
    they ask why Microsoft dont re-write Windows the correct
    way with known proper security from the ground up ?
    Russinovich replies, "it's too much work"
    So there we have it folks, Microsoft CHOOSES ON PURPOSE to
    continue on a flawed and insecure and slow bloated systems.

    I just set Opera Preferences to Cookies=OFF Flash=OFF ReferrerLogging=OFF GifAnimation=OFF.
    Then i Edit Site Preferences to only allow things when i want.
    Like youtube.com FlashOn and CookiesOn to allow autologin.

    More Privacy and faster browsing for me!

    What i would like is a Geforce8800-performance card for 10$.
    And it should idle at 1W !

    That would be a must-have. Normally i dont pay for 3D cards, i
    just wait for rich people to get boored with thier cards. Then
    i ask: Are you gonna finnish that?

    (I do that with mobile phones too)

    My Pentium4 1700 256k

    256M 90G disk Geforce3 64M

    boots my tweaked XP3Pro in 16 sec. Not counting BIOS-time.

    Btw, i've seen a Pentium3 1100MHz boot a fresh installed XP just as slow

    as a high-end PC from 2009 boots a fresh install of 64Vista. ouch!

    (someday i'll test my tweaked XP on one of those...)

    That experience chaped important parts of how i view software.

    From that day i have the 5 second barrier for deciding what's slow

    and what's fast.

    Forever spoiled.

    Imagine if BeOS was alive today on 2009 monsters we got now,

    It would bring up the GUI before we finished depressing the

    Power-button :D

    If we could maintain a trusted bat-file that list the sane Updates we

    could simply automatically run a local static bat-file that downloads

    the Update.bat

    and runs it. Update.bat then downloads and installs the Updates.

    Fully legally bypassing WGA and lots of other bloat!

    WGA is by design SPYWARE. It wouldnt work otherwise.

    Method of infection: running WindowsAutomaticUpdate.

    I'm looking for some way to block WindowsUpdate from installing WGA...

    I have a few ideas but no computer to sarifice yet... Perhaps we can

    create locked dummy-files with WGA filenames?

    Also, would be nice to be able to block various "Updates" that we dont want...

    For now i just manually download updates.exe and run them from a batch file,

    Doesnt it fall into the same pit as Intel CPUs, low bang for the buck ?

    I dont know what server-people need/want. But for me i want the price-tag

    to remain while i get faster and better-idle-consumption CPUs.

    The CPU that deliver the most bang for my buck is the winner, for me.

    All other CPUs are just a big waste of time.

    But first. There dont exist any clear line between men and women. We're all different.

    Many sports have wight-classes. Why dont all sports have that. Why are 100kg people
    not allowed to compete against each other in high-jump??! (and so on)

    Sport is only healthy upto a point. After that we get money and cheating and people hurting themselfs. That's why i've stopped watching elite sports.

    We should all stop attend/watch (pay) these events that put result before well-beeing.

    Bolt just runs as fast as he can. Nothing special at all. So do we all when we run 100m.

    (gotta stop now bfore i'm too far off topic)

    That's why i'm only on PC. I'm allowed to play new games at lower

    settings.

    There's PS2-controller USB adapters, for those games that benefit

    from hand-controller.

    NEWSFLASH: Xboxes are _designed_ to fail. Just like cars and so on.

    I dont want to use Windows7sp0. When Win7sp2 exist i'll try it. Assuming i havent switched to Chrome or Xubuntu by then. I'll use my tweaked XP until it stops updating around 2014.

    The screenshots look ugly. It's 2009 and they cant make a pretty demo?! The texture is fuzzy, look at the sand. It's extra ultra mega HD but still look 1998.
     
    Now the SLI-in-one seems desperate. But we dont know before it's revealed.

      Btw, when do we get the GPU as a core next to the CPU?

    XP3Pro: kinda slim and works well enough. But dont run perfect on newest hardware.

    Vista: suck

    Win7: =VistaAgain. Bloated to make new hardware go as slow as possible.

    Xubuntu: Runs fastest and easiest to use for both n00bs and pros. But,
    it is not Windows. People still think they want Windows. If only there was
    a rename-patch for Linux...

    I remember a time when they did movies because they had something

    I want to uninstall IE6 and IE7 before i install IE8 bloat.

    IE8 crash more often then IE6 and IE7 put together. It's wrong
    to force that on n00bs. They have hard time as it is.

    First i 'jpegtran' all files to even-out different compression methods. Then 'fdupes' and delete all identical files.
    In Windows: for /R .\ %%1 in (*.jpg *.jpeg) do jpegtran -optimize -perfect -copy none -progressive "%%1" "%%1"
    Duplicate File Finder (Empty RecycleBin before to avoid confusion)
    Then i use GQView (exist for both Linux and win32). Set Preferences, Advanced, Custom Similarity to 98% to begin with. GQView Menu, New Collection, Load list of files and select Compare.

    I keep IE for backward compatibility, for those extremly rare sites that Opera dont handle well. Those sites are growing so few that i cant even give an example. If i could Uninstall IE6 before installing more IE bloat. Most people i know refuse to switch up to Opera since it 'looks' different. I'm going to switch the Opera icon shortcut to IE-icon and rename it Internet Explorer 9... Or just 'Internet'. since that's what people think it is.
