    Isn't that grand /. moderation? In a Mac-bashing thread, any pro-Mac sentiments get you modded either a) troll, if you are pro-Mac, or b) off-topic, if you support pro-Mac people with FRICKING EVIDENCE AND EXAMPLES.

    This is why I browse /. at -5 (or however low the fricking thing goes). /. mods are (generally) internet tough guys who mod down people with different viewpoints.

    Because they're sponsored by, and in this case will be legally backed by, the state. Only recently (decade-ish) have we started outing and stigmatizing priests and other heads of society that do the same. It'll probably take until 2050 until children in public schools have the same (if any) rights as adults on the outside.

    She was accused as being a supplier to another child... BY THE OTHER CHILD. If nothing else, the accuser(?) should be strip-searched, along with whoever was being 'supplied' the ibuprofin. What's good for the goose is good for the gander (or dealer->druggie... you get my drift).

    Sad thing is, whether or not the RIAA owns the IP that you download, they ARE going to be on you about it if they find out. It may take the form of an e-mail to your ISP, or a lawsuit. They may just send out the hired thugs to break your legs.

    The Knights Templar did this kind of stuff, and we saw what happened to them.

    I have this picture in my head of a water-cooled PC that gets so hot that the water turns to steam, which runs a turbine, which helps power the PC. Hugely inefficient, but sooooo cool to have a Steam-Powered PC.

    When did we have to reboot to change our IP address? IDK about those without routers and/or external modems, but for us with them, we're a 15-second unplug, wait, and replug away from a new IP address. IANAE though.

    It's been my experience that, both in XP and in Leopard, in order to get a BSOD or Kernel Panic, you have to either be A) trying [ie running weird code/shady code you got from some site in Korea] to mess up your system or B) pushing your system too hard. YMMV, but that seems to be how it goes for most of us.

    I might not entirely understand this, it sounds like this is a whole lot of work for not much result. What happens if you get temperatures that are precisely inbetween 0 and 1 values? What effect does the processor's fan and/or heatsink have on said values? Why bother?
