    The solution is something that will run games as another user. Enter NeoExec. Works great for games (personal use) - commercial licensing may be another matter. Google is your friend.

    punk busters is supposed to keep america's army players in line, and it pretty much does as much as it can.

    however, it doesn't help that the developers decided to include a 'dev mode' or something that's basically providing a bunch of built-in cheats even in the latest 2.00a version.

    i can't count the times i've wanted to find a repository of various levels, skins, etc. as i sit downloading them before i can get into various fps games...

    i can only see this as a positive, though it's possible they will have a few problems:

    * people thinking it's "official"
    * people distributing trojans, etc.

    what can rockstar do anyway... i don't see how this isn't a bonus for them.

    don't remember, but i was going to pick this one up @ Barnes & Noble, but they said they dropped most of the information on older browsers from this edition... so i went for the first edition @ half.com for $20 or whatever instead.

    please don't give people crap for sending in something anonymously... there's a purpose for that, isn't there? (e.g. is this someone working for the company who doesn't want to get fired for pointing out a possible gpl violation?)

    otherwise i'll have to starting putting "(editors think registration should be required blah blah blah)" after every link to slashdot that i e-mail anyone... :)
