In god we trust was added to our money, and "under god" was added to our pledge in the 1950's.
"In God We Trust" first appeared on the penny and 2 cent coins in 1864, as a result of religious sentiment around the Civil War. It was adopted as an official motto for the country in 1956.
I find the desktop tends to get gradually slower and I solve this by killing/restarting plasma-desktop every 24h or so.
I also agree there are lots of visual glitches with a vertical panel. Notification tend to appear in annoying places and the minimize/maximize animations frequently show the closing into one of the screen edges other than the one with the panel... although I think that may be multi-monitor related.
I'm sorry, but giving something like only 2000 years as a timescale for the Earth becoming "uninhabitable by life as we know it" due just to increases in solar output is just wildly inaccurate. The Sun is not changing that fast.
I'd say 100 million years is about a short as you can credibly go, and obviously life will evolve during that time. The real killer would be the point at which liquid water can no longer exist on the surface, and that's more like a billion years in the future.
I would say your grave doesn't still exist on the remaining scorched rock, which I assume is the core of the planet. Your grave would have evaporated along with the outer layers of the former surface.
I decided to give Amarok a try on Kubuntu 11.10 and it worked well enough, but I couldn't get it to play back tracks gaplessly which is a no-go for me... am I missing something?
To correct myself, water in the highest pressure areas of the core would actually be an ice, but in a different phase than the one we are familiar with everyday

Opera's default search seems to be Bing - Microsoft. So what do we think about that?
Not sure if it's changed recently, but Opera was actually using split defaults... Google in the search box to the right of the address bar and Bing on the Speed Dial search box.
You can change these default by bring up Preferences with CRTL+F12, then going to the Search tab. Click on a search engine and you can set it as the Search box or Speed Dial default.
In the USA the 335d is limited to 130mph. Even if unlimited, I really doubt it would hit 175 with stock output and gearing, BMWs site quotes 150 as the ultimate limit.
265hp is no more than average amongst 6 cylinder sedans these days. Amusing to see the factory weight of 3850 pounds... my goodness are modern cars obese.:(
You are basically forced to use a heavy-duty truck if you want to do a high power diesel project like this in the US, unless you have the money to buy and mod up a recent BMW 335d.

Unless you have a really deep grave, anyway. :)
DoctorBob was better. :)
Crack cocaine is also a very different drug from base cocaine.
You must write minimum sentencing guidelines. :)
Don't you have to keep a bunch of GTK1 dependencies around to run it?
But I find I'm not listening to music I've "forgotten about" any more as it's not as visible as with a constantly displayed library.
I found the same thing... while I like to actively choose my music, I tend to get stuck with certain listening patterns.
There's still a hell of a lot to be said for a simple, minimal mp3 player
Too bad Winamp no longer is. Plus, unless I'm mistaken, there's no Linux version (but that's OK, XMMS is a better Winamp than Winamp).
XMMS has been inactive since 2007. Use Audacious if you want an actively maintained Winamp clone on Linux. :)

All my music is in FLAC.
would be to build one on the dark side of the moon
There is no "dark side" of the moon. The side that faces away from Earth is illuminated by the Sun just as often as the side facing Earth.

It appears even at 10GPa we would actually expect a liquid phase.
it'll either be clearly ice at that pressure or near another melting line.
You do remember that solid water is less dense than liquid water, right?
It is possible to melt ice merely by increasing pressure.
ah Saturday Morning comments ... posting nonsensical things on Slashdot.
Actually, that happens on all days and at all times in my experience. :)

And the L and - keys are pretty far from R... o.O
L and R are adjacent on my Dvorak keyboard, you insensitive clod!
Did you get turned down for a green card again?
Microsoft said it was in the mail... :)
At first I thought you made the AC comment and then posted this as meta-humor, but you usually sign your AC posts.

Since the circuit components are all inkjetted, component cost would be minimal: just the cost of the ink.
Heh, have you priced any inkjet cartridges recently? :)

The relationship between horsepower and top speed is far from linear, especially when you have the crappy aerodynamics of a heavy duty Dodge Ram.
155mph is a good top end speed for a Dodge Ram.

Which Golden Girl would you plow first?
The cosmonaut of course.
Heh... this could be the secret question/response to get into the "I browse at -1" treehouse. :3
Using multiple account does little other than increase the chance of your posts being modded down without anybody bothering to read them.
I suggest you reconsider.
