    Probably 98% of blogs are personal opinions with no factual, scientific basis.

    How does that differ even a little bit from what you read in a newspaper or see on TV?

    It's always up to the reader to critically analyze what information they receive.

    Trust me. Moderating an online forum is EXACTLY reading every single stupid thing your customers post. "Oh someone started a topic about religion? I guess I can cancel my other plans since my 5 hours will be spent in their reading everything that anyone posts to keep the flames down."

    You should have chosen a forum more aligned with your interests! Then it's a great job.

    Now -- if Apple had been selling the iPhone 4G for four years and ignoring the fact that a statistically large number of them were suddenly dying of a known bad issue, then intentionally shipping out 'repaired' iPhones with -more- bad parts in them, then I'd agree.

    Considering how loudly we broadcast to the universe, we probably create a much bigger foot print in the RF than a planet our size should.

    That's true, but all the radio radiation coming from all the transmitters on Earth put together is still much weaker than the naturally occurring radio waves emitted by Jupiter.

    I'm pretty confident our signals are lost in the noise.

    Did you sign your Windows licensing agreement? I doubt it.

    A EULA is not a contract.

    The problem is these add-ons (they are not plugins) aren't installed with user privileges, but admin privileges. How would you have Mozilla fix this? By magically circumventing the permissions system in Windows?

    Perhaps MS hopes that people will place the blame on Mozilla as you have done.

    I agree. I think it's no coincidence that real content blocking isn't available in Chrome. The speed advantage of the browser itself is more than negated by the slowness induced by ads that can't be blocked, so it simply cannot replace FF or Opera on my computer.

    If Apple makes a deal with AT&T to not count iTunes streaming content against your cap would be a reason to boycott Apple? WTF?

    They would be building a walled garden where users will tune into their content rather than get it from elsewhere on the Internet.

    Isn't it obvious? The trap works much better if it has been baited... the "doesn't count against your cap" part is the bait.

    In your pedantry, you miss the forest for the trees. I'm sure you understand the physics of repeatedly starting and stopping a car use way more energy than allow it to continue at a steady pace.

    Having engines that shut off is good, but it's a bit like putting a band-aid on a bullet wound.

    BMW makes cars, which are not "green" by any standard.

    The MPG of even the most efficient vehicle is at zero when it is stopped by a red light. Vehicle manufactures are expected to do all this work to improve gasoline efficiency, but it is put to waste by inefficiency in traffic light patterns. If we are really serious about better MPG in passenger vehicles, than cities will have to do their part, rather than simply passing the blame on to car makers.

    I can also guess with some confidence that the current BMW 335d is more efficient than whatever you happen to be driving. It offers a very compelling blend of performance and efficiency.
