People who are curious to try Crysis, but not curious enough to buy a gaming graphics card. The aim is to remove the barriers that say 'Casual gamers must tolerate low end graphics'.
You can get very capable graphics cards for under $200 these days. How is that more expensive than this service will be?
I laughed when I was first presented the option to turn off ads on Slashdot. I have been using AdBlock+ the whole time I've been a reader here, so I never knew there were any ads.
I'm sure I'm not the only one.

(Actually, thinking a little more about this, maybe I ought to pay more attention to my online privacy. The terrorists have won, I'm posting this as anon.)
Hey, fractoid, you dropped your name in the midst of your AC post and we know who you are.:) Best to decide "to AC or not to AC" before you start composing.
It could be argued that the EU as it exists today has its roots in the cooperation between Germany and France that has been going on for nearly half a century. WWII was a long time ago, things change.
There was even more latency than you expected, you insensitive clod!

Those of us who are interested in everything Slashdot has to offer will still see the context.
I personally don't understand who would want to browse a discussion where you only see half of what is going on, but to each his own.
It first appeared on our money during the Civil War. I think it is clearly unconstitutional and should be removed.
Like the Passenger Pigeon, maybe?
Live Free or Die! I like it.

Some people are having trouble remembering it's not 2009 anymore, but you seem to still be stuck on 2008. :)
They have to justify their exorbitant tuition costs somehow.
You must be one of those guys who pre-ordered Duke Nukem Forever, right?
Ogre Battle for SNES/PS1 and Ogre Battle64 for N64 are what spring to mind as closest to your idea.
You're still wrong.

You forgot to mention that a avian-dropped baguette was responsible for knocking the LHC offline... but was that good or bad?

Why the heck do you need to keep 300 tabs open? Do you also complain about the gas mileage of you car when dragging a 3000kg anchor behind it?
Lots of stuff from Japan, China, and Korea is still encoded in .rmvb for whatever reason.
It also keeps them focused on their tasks. If they were together, it's just robot-on-robot sex, 24/7/687...or at least after every sunny day...
FTFY, this is on Mars, remember? (Wikipedia says the day is 24.622h, so you're close enough there.) :)
It won't have enough juice to survive the Martian winter. They have to try now while they can.
I try to keep the JavaScript horror confined to one tab at a time, so I never understood how people could comment in the wrong article.
Thanks for clearing that up. :)
It's FFVII, you insensitive clod!
