Indeed the main problem that the French and the British had was that Belgium didn't allow the French and British armys to take up positions on the Belgian border prior to a German attack
It's more complex than that, the French didn't want to occupy the first defense line along the border, only the second line closer to the center. Anyway both lines did not cover the whole border and kept the same opening to Sedan. After Sedan, English and French left their position on the second Belgian defense line to regroup.
I always imagined that the weakness of the Maginot line was planned, promoting a shift of the main battle field from France to Belgium.
I even thought that concentration camps were invented by Americans

Having used base 10 12 60... mechanical devices sometimes steered by base 2 (or pulse) based electrical systems, I seriously doubt that mechanical systems are at their best in base 2. Where I fully agree is the " been born in the the mostly ignorant generation of kids" part, this thread is a prime example of blissful collective ignorance, although this is probably common to any age and time.
Most of the time I just want to sit on top of a database where most of the code is in triggers - calculated fields, a cross between a database and a spreadsheet. And then some screens stuff to display that data.

But as your diastolic blood pressure is more than 0.066 atmosphere, boiling water in the blood is not a problem. Boiling water in the lungs is another story, but here again when lacking oxygen the best way to survive is to cool down very fast and that's what will happen. You just need an expert team for reanimation.

Kipling, chiefly remembered for his celebration of British imperialism, would work for Microsoft today. Maybe he does, Microsoft says they defend innovation.

The warm air of a power plant leaves mostly through a huge cooling tower upwards consuming enormous quantities of water, the local effect is extra rainfall. Where cold air sticks to the ground.
I'd be surprised if it was used on any aircraft at all.
As far as I remember F16 as it is an electric plane with a single engine.
I'd class Google as a saint compared to Mother Teresa, who ...
The new Reverend Dr Hyde I presume.
100% of scientists to agree that global warming is occurring
My believes are seasonal, during winter I favor global cooling. In the summer I am a scientist.

We had our own camps, too

The aim is to hit some one, as it is a 'satellite' it's all legal. The chances are minimal but then so is the lottery.

The Victorians more or less invented porn, a feat lost to the more idealistic pin-up annex photoshop generations.

Yes, but you are not in control, as it is deleted without recovery on your side

<quote>Yeah, but with no convection ... it is much more difficult.</quote>
Or more easy, excessive cooling by convection is one of the main problems to start a new fire.

Is it? The money of Einstein's Nobel price went to his first wife. Having the right kind of wife helps.
