c) Automatically backup over an internal network to a fileserver in your basement
I do a full backup over the internal network and a backup of particularly important data (college work, encrypted financial data etc) using online storage (UbuntuOne offers a free 2GB account).
South Australia doesn't have a Governor General. She represents the monarch in the whole Commonwealth. Perhaps you mean the South Australian Governor. Governors are appointed by the Queen on the direct advice of the relevant state Premier.
iiNet agreed to join the internet filtering trial scheme around the same time (Nov 08) as the film companies sued them, so the timing isn't right for Conroy to have pushed the litigation. Not that AFACT would need any pushing.
In Australia there is some interaction between politicians' Christian beliefs and legislation but much less than other places such as the United States.
But the idea that Christians can cram their religions down people's throats through legislation has unfortunately been with us since the 4th century and Emperor Constantine. A more helpful Christian view on the place of government I think is the approach taken by the framers of the American Constitution. Christians (and all other religions) should be free to practice their religion and persuade others of its virtues (a form of freedom of speech, after all), but ought not to impose this by force (military, political or legal).
Disclaimer: I am a Christian and an Australian.
Christian politicians are pushing some stupid things in this country, such as the flawed Internet censorship proposal. However this ratings decision has not been influenced (AFAIK) by the government, Christian influence or not. The link in which you refer to the iiNet copyright case seems to be influenced by corporations, not Christians.
A big proud changeable sign that was up from at least 24th August outside a New South Wales Public High School in my area: "APHS, The First School In The World to have Windows 7!"
8pm - 8am is exactly what they are offering on the front page of their website, as well as the billboard I drive past on the M4 in Sydney. They do note in fine print (though not so fine I couldn't read it driving past) that "Speed will be reduced on and off peak if peak usage exceeds 5GB". Sounds like a different plan than the one you are on.
Rubbish - I can only get to know my wife through scientific experimentation, which is why I've given up on conversation and shared experiences and I've resorted to taking cell samples and have implanted a tracking device. I have a brain dissection planned for next week... that should yield lots of knowledge about her.
Surely 360 degrees comes from an approximation of the number of days in the year? The position of the stars in the night sky shifts by approximately one degree per day.
I don't think anyone's stupid enough to think there's a single correlate to mate selection.
I think you underestimate the market-share of stupid.
They should just call for a mulligan... no wait, that's for water traps like on the moon.
You should have marked this NSFW!
He breaks the rules... but gets the yummy yummy cake!

You owe me a new mind's eye, I had to poke it out to get rid of that mental image.
World's lamest rebranding in my book: The Australian icon Vegemite being renamed iSnack 2.0. Sounds like a joke, but...
Or 9.04 involves alt-dragging the offending window.
WTF?

Did you just solve the halting problem?
A common danger: those 750GB USB disks are notoriously heavy!
Installing Windows 7 IS a birth control option.
Nobody? I have the highest respect for our Australian firefighters, but...
Better yet - do something about it: Obligatory XKCD
What I learnt in Physics: First draw your lines-of-best-fit, THEN plot your points.

Oops - let me try that again. pi in base pi is 10. pi in base sqrt(pi) is 100 And the volume of a cylinder with radius z and height a is pi z z a
It's 2 in base sqrt(pi)
Unfortunately a politician will win. They always do...
Sounds like it's high time for the USA to have another 'sixties'.
