Linux does not even have a decent application for reading emails... and no: Thunderbird does not cut it. I guess I could find a text only email reader that "just works", though.
Linux have Mutt http://www.mutt.org/ and their motto "All mail clients suck. This one just sucks less."
I'd be a lot more receptive to AutoCAD, for example, if they put out a Linux version. But why bother?
They did. I had installed a R12 one on a debian slink long long ago;D AutoCAD Release 13 in 1994 was the last version for MS-DOS, UNIX and Windows 3.11
I miss FidoNet and their echomail areas. The first reply i got was a private message asking politely to reduce the signature, and a more then enough explanation on why was necesary. Every single bit mattered.
They have his own web crawler and also forward queries.
From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... "DuckDuckGo's results are a compilation of "over 400" sources, including Yahoo! Search BOSS; Wikipedia; Wolfram Alpha; Bing; its own Web crawler (the DuckDuckBot); and others."
From http://www.pandora.com/restric... " Pandora is only available in the U.S. right now – but we are working on bringing our music service to other parts of the world. "
They have this message since they started offering service.
On dial-up times i used WWWOFFLE https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... on debian. Was very convenient since had the ability to browse pages offline and when clicked any link not on the cache, saved for later retrieval.
That and fetchmail + inn for retrieve mails and news, and also fidonet mailer, all on a crontab in the early mornings. In very few minutes connected a day had lots of content to use offline.
Can also stay on older versions and still patched on Firefox ESR (Extended Support Release) https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/... at version 52.5 currently.
I am using Firefox ESR (Extended Support Release) https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/... for this only reason, can keep using the add-ons i want. They are currently at version 52.5
"In fact, DuckDuckGo gets its results from over four hundred sources. These include hundreds of vertical sources delivering niche Instant Answers, DuckDuckBot (our crawler) and crowd-sourced sites (like Wikipedia, stored in our answer indexes). We also of course have more traditional links in the search results, which we source from Bing, Yahoo, and Yandex."
Have you written to AutoDesk asking if they've considered making a Linux compatible suite? They won't make one if no one asks.
They did, was a AutoCAD r12 for Dos, Windows and Unix. succeded installing it on a debian slink.
Last AutoCAD version for unix was r13c4 https://www.thefreelibrary.com... in the 1996
After that one was all Windows and Mac versions only.
Love when a stupid ass article can't be bothered to mention what the fuck it is about.
