If somehow they could use solar power to create energy usable by the ship. First you wouldn't need to re-fill the station ever. Second, you could have less weight on the ship to not have such transforming components. I would image these stations will be the most rarely visited gas stations created by man. So you would have a long time between visits to transform the solar power into another energy source.
Ok, the article stated by combining 4 modems will get you 4 times the speed. Except that would require each modem to be on it's own 4 channel bonded system. As we all know cable single is distributed, so each connection isn't dedicated. They would require 4 docis3 head ends that connected to each modem. Currently there isn't funding in most areas to get 1 docis3 head end.
Additionally this cuts into your cable channel lineup. Each digital stream is 6mhz wide and have 2mhz on each side to reduce channel interference. that means this will take around 160mhz (8mhz * (4 down stream + 1 up stream)) of your cable stream. Currently they are only able to use something around 10mhz to 1000mhz so that means you will only have 840mhz left for channels.
If you think everyone is getting a dedicated 1.5Gbps that is a ways off.
Once we build the technology to receive information from the future, we should know everything that will ever happen in the future. The real question is then is where does unique ideas come from then? If someone is to invent a technology, but a message from the future tells the individual how to make the invention. When is the idea created for the invention? It is a infinite loop of chicken and egg. Just think Wikipedia will have past history and future event.
All the paradoxes still exists. If you can send a message to the past and future. There can be a robot receiving commands, and sending video. So although a person cannot go in the past to mess up the time line, his information can. So a man can still kill his parents before he is born, as long as the robot is created before that time.
It will only effect geeks that tell and receive insults, because they are the only ones that will be able to reference this.
So to all the people that don't read Slashdot : "Yo momma is so fat. If she gained another pound, she would collapse in on herself and become a black hole."
In the begining of the third film Marty is at his highschool and he realizes the name has been changed. When he goes back in time to save Doc, Doc and Marty save the teacher. After Marty's influences on Doc. Marty than realizes his highschool was named after a teacher who fell off a clift. Then Doc and Marty have a conversation about how Marty noticed already the highschool was renamed.
At the begining of the film the school should not have been renamed until a Marty went back and influenced Doc.
a = 8/9 = 0.888...
10a = 80/9 = 8.888...
10a - 1a = 80/9 - 8/9 = 8
9a = 72/9 = 8
This actually applies for any number under nine.
So where Z is a single digit...
a = Z/9 = 0.ZZZ...
10a = Z0/9 = Z.ZZZ...
10a - 1a = Z0/9 - Z/9 = Z
9a = (9 * Z)/9 = Z
And maybe one day linux will support 512bit CPUs, since it already supports 256 bit(I think).
Here is a hit, Microsoft.Windows cares about the common person, who doesn't care about anything you listed.
Then on the opposite side you have Open Source teams so driven to program something so unbelievable useless, and call it progress. Tell me why you need to focus on something so useless, when you don't support so many things. Such as Flash 64 bit, until about a week ago.
The only reason Visual Basic has a bad rep, is that it was an horrible language when it was immature. Since Visual Basic uses the Common Language Runtime (CLR), it can do the majority of what C# can. C# is an extremely powerful language, with great frameworks and libraries. Visual Studio and the CLR, seems to have a completely different management process than windows, and has very few issues. (Microsoft.Windows != Microsoft.VisualStudio) And so what they had an stupid simple default web application that had a possible exploit if it was deployed.
The real problem is Microsoft assumed developeers wouldn't be so stupid. If IT idiots who never took a security class in there life are programming your web application, you will have problems.
Bottom line is, C# is what Java should have been if it had better backing, and VB can do the majority of what C# can. I much rather have a language that has a strong corp. backing.
At least there is someone to be held responsible, unlike linux. This entire thread is just Microsoft vs Linux. This isn’t really an important exploit. Any security expert can tell you not to not to put exception information to your end user. This is why you provide generic errors. Like, when word crashes, it says “An unexpected error happened.” The real problem is the default configuration displays exception information, which is very simple to change. Any educated developer should know not to do this. Regardless, of if it is under asp/php, or IIS/Apache.
I believe Einstein once said: Don't waste your memory on things you can look up, just know where to look for your information. But I am having problems locating the specific quote.

Agreed, the author of this article arrived at poor conclusions without supporting arguments and no credentials.
Or the average male package in china.

Paradox! Time is linear with constant gravity. How can you have a tree in something that is linear?
Whatever, I have a hacked PSP and that thing is great.

I work on restricted computers and only have IE7, the new layout is slow and doesn't look like it is rendering right.

The real question is, doees it work under a different base. IE base 2, 8, or 16.
If someone can prove 0.FFFFF....x = 1x I will be happy.

I bet the engine bay won't hold up to a Barrett with Raufoss Mk 211 rounds. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raufoss_Mk_211

They forgot the step where you check the hanging process isn't the shutdown process itself. Someone patent that step quickly.
Did you really just post a comment on not being able to post a comment? Wow you need emotional support.
I agree it would be much better if PS3 supported Compiz in 3D.
My poop smells like shit
Did you know some birds have to eyelids. My parrot, even if he closes both of them, I can still see he pupil behind his lids.
Additionally, he likes to keep his right eye closed alot of the time. I thought he might have a problem with it. The doctor said it was normal.
I wish I could mod that up
There shopping cart keeps crashing on me. Damit I want one now! Give it to me now!
