Think there will be enough porn "actresses" and "models" to keep up with the demand if there's more porn sites than people (and more people that porn workers)?
Uhhh. I've lived in Texas all of my life so I believe I know what I'm talking about. There are certain pockets that are known to be more open (Austin and ummm, uhhh El Paso?), but the rest of the Texas IS close-minded. I know. I've lived in small towns, large cities, East Texas forests, West Texas, Panhandle highlands (heh), etc.
I realize that I'm making a very broad generalization and I don't mean to badmouth Texas. I'm native Texan and probably won't ever move out (been here 30 years, not counting a stint in OK) because I love the state and the people that live here, but come on - I know what it's like here!
BTW, the portion that didn't vote and happened to possibly agree with me probably didn't do so because it's hopeless. If you don't vote a straight Repub ticket in Texas, you're wasting your time. (Yes, I did vote)
I've thought about "switching over" like this, but I have all of my mail sorted out into dozens of folders with rules that tell them where to go when they arrive. Can you manage this with Outlook Web Access (Exchange 5.5)?
What part of the country do you live in? I'm in Texas and I believe that "liberal" is too conservative of a term for my own beliefs. I generally have to keep my mouth shut since I'm surrounded by extremely close minded people that worship the Republican party. There are plenty of free-thinking people here in the large city. I have lived in small Texas towns, and I think you're okay as long as you don't intentionally offend people.
Don't forget: violence, explosions, death of MAJOR characters, character flaws in everyone, new characters with new character flaws, villians turned hero, Scorpy in Hawain shirt, in-fighting, betrayal, drug references, dirt, mud, grime, blood, sweat, grief after losing a loved one, urination, non-humanoid aliens, comedy, pop culture references, emphasis on characters and plot instead of technology, not too much time travel, jokes poking fun of Star Trek, and don't forget - FLUFFY!!!!
I agree - as much as I hated Aryn dying , I hated it worse that they brought her back. The whole time she was gone I was chanting "don't bring her back". Zhaan - that's almost more of a loss, since you're made to feel for her and her caring matronly ways..... sigh.....
I agree, Crusade could have evolved into something good. I imagine that the likelyhood of a true revival is pretty slim, though. A rangers series is a strange thought - I seem to recall the early info leaked about Crusade as being about rangers (I was confused when it wasn't). Hmmmm.......
There are many POS systems using a touch screen for input. I think the problem with that is that it requires special hardware - where a keyboard input device could work on any old P.O.S. (that's a pun) system.
I disagree. I've never developed a POS, but I've given it some thought and watched users of POS systems closely (not serious research, though). It seems that what they would want the most is an easy-to-use interface that has intelligently laid-out hot-keys to make it easier to fly through screens/windows.
That's exactly what I meant. To the outside world (that is, outside of the Debian world) crappy advocacy skills generally equates to elitism. Look at Open Source, Free Software, Linux, *BSD, Macintosh, etc and how "outsiders" react in discussions that originate from advocacy.
Bad advocacy smacks of elitist proselytizing.

I guess I was under the impression that the incompatibilities were in the earlier versions of Frontpage. What did I expect from Microsoft? heh
"If Sun's sole objective is to sell hardware, then how do you explain the x86 port? You must conceed that you are wrong"
Let me ask you a question: do you do business with Sun? If so, have they EVER tried selling you any kind of Linux solution? Sun isn't interested in selling software, believe me - they give it away (albiet closed source) and quite a bit of the software that comes with their hardware (workstations, servers, storage, whatever) is 3rd party.
The only reason they would have Linux in their crosshairs is if the Linux x86 server market started making a dent into Sun's server sales. I don't believe this is happening as much as people like to think.
I'm _not_ defending Sun here, just telling it like it is based on experience with Sun as a vendor to the company I work for (and I recommend a substantial portion of our hardware purchases unless the decision is based on some non-technological reasoning).
That's only because the people that were involved with the Internet prior to Miscrosoft's entry into the scene (or market, if that's your thing) weren't able to defend themeslves. No one will believe Microsoft's attempt at doing something as stupid as co-opting open source, Linux, or whatever.
On the other hand, people outside of the culture of the Internet, Open Source, xBSD, Linux, etc. don't actually care one or the other. Why should my mom care if Microsoft did or didn't invent anything they've embraced and extended?
Sun is only interested in selling hardware solutions, so I don't think that they would spend the resources on doing those things - which is a good thing.
Sun has been concentrating on SunRays. I believe that they are attempting to get out of the workstation market and steer customers to these. I made a trip to the local Sun office when they were trying to sell me something - the SunRay/mobile-field-office thing they have is neat, but I just can't by the network computer idea.

It still is, isn't it?
mad cow, hoof-n-mouth...
I guess I don't notice because I don't have any slow connections or machines.

Since all of the NT admins are gone due to layoffs - that means I'm the one to enable it :).

Too dark! Good GOD, that's the best part about it. It's dark, fucked-up, and yet they still manage to keep the humor in it all.

I thought faster loading time was a benefit of vector-based animation and graphics. Is Flash slower than GIF animations when it comes to loading?
You're talking about liberals and democrats not the FAR left.

You poor addicted sould.
How is Frontpage deliberately broken? I'm not saying that it isn't - just would like to know.
