Your joking, right? The Debian package distribution method is older and more sturdy than the RPM method of packaging. I remember trying to update to KDE 3.5 (when it was new) Suse ( 7 I believe ) and the system did not come back up due to dependencies. Debian's APT System is more intuitive, and contains checking inter-dependencies that RPM just does not have.
The only method of distribution that is equal to it is the tar.bz2 / tar.gz methods.
You till should be able to write a script to do this in the login options for a user in windows. You could install all the options neatly inside an exported registry file you want to restore, and using default and all users to set up the file system.
We should not be putting our inferior genes into the most intelligent animals on earth--that's right the mice.
I mean, after all we are only the third smartest animal on the planet.
If you really believed that piracy was no worse with sneakernet than it is now, you'd be too stupid to have learned to type.
Flamebait aside, you apparently have no clue what you are talking about.
**AAs consider giving your friend a CD/DVD/etc to be also a theft. And in the time of sneakernet, that was all over the place. Decade ago, probably half of my CD collection was constantly in other hands. And **AAs consistently consider that to be a "theft" too. Internet changed only one thing: most of my CD collection now is buried below thick layer of dust as MP3/OGG/AAC are exchanged by all possible means. (And I'd say external hard drives play not so little role in friend-to-friend (sneakernet's analogue of P2P) content exchange even now.)
Internet or sneakernet, human nature hasn't changed by a bit: if we enjoy something, we want to share that with others. And copyright laws cannot change that.
I think you mean ??AA. Yeah I know I'm nit picking, but know your expansions.
If you buy from Lenovo, you have an intel. I did, a T61. I demand a clit mouse. It's been all but abandoned from other laptop manufacturers. Touchpads and I just do not agree.
Now the reasons for this are apparent in recent articles on slashdot.
There are times I have as many as 160+ tabs open. I then use Download them all (tabs) to download the files where I run my data collecting script on them. If I need something else while I'm doing that, I OPEN A NEW WINDOW. The only real problem with that many tabs, ice weasel begins to lag. (Yes I'm a debian user.)
I happen to Like Microsoft's 2008 ribbon. It got rid of the redundancy of having a toolbar and menus. It was a good idea on their part to simplify the interface in such a way. I'd hate to say it Microsoft devs once and a while do some things right.
1 issue: E-mail has a 10MiBi Limit. So this E-Mail you speak of cannot be used.
Lets look at the current means of distribution.
You can A: Bittorrent it, but there's not much profit in that at the moment. You can take the Itunes method, the major node of servers, and end up with a sub par'd drm'd copy. Lastly you can take the streaming approach. Netflicks does this through everyone's favorite program: Sliverlight 2.0. That limits to Windows only machines... maybe mac... honestly I don't give a flying -expletive deleted- about mac. The other streaming methods such as RTMP and MMS are commonly used for free software, and require a web browser to work, but can restrict access by asking a user for a password guarded via front door such as many hentai/porn sites do, mind you these also allow for stream ripping fairly easy. However I think it's perfectly fair for a user to cache the entire movie this way, it does pose some issues with dishonest users.
Flac isn't exactly designed for streaming last time I checked, however it is also my preferred audio format as well.
Excellent news! This additional extension should give the ReactOS guys enough time to finish their open-source Windows XP.
I love ReactOS, but I think it's going to be an uphill battle all the way. I'm not one to spread FUD, but there is a possibility that Microsoft could go after them with patents even after the fact that they are using clean room reverse engineering. However, Long live React OS and ReactX. I look forward to a day I can use binaries from windows in linux with a real hardware layer, not mapping it to opengl.
It didn't work well for Bill Gates and Friends.... of course they got off through appeals.

Our constitution (and amendments) gently weeps.

We must destroy the evil power and bomb Perl Harbor!

Why are you ignoring me?
Because if we don't, it will end your game.

MP3 for CD quality Audio? Seriously? Where's the FLAC? You think someone like Dangermouse would care about audio quality.

Rule 142:
Only fools sell wholesale.
I think a TV tuner in your linux box is a perfectly legitimate means to watch your shows.
Although even mine has fallen in disuse over torrents. I've never actually got mythtv to work properly on my debian machine.
Maybe I'm just an idiot.

Colbert cannot be stopped...EVER!
You must be unaware of the orbital grizzly bear. Imagine one of those coming at you at 15000 miles per hour: Roar!
I believe they call them Ursa Major and Ursa Minor.
