Why does anyone care what Mitnick has to say? Seriously, why does everyone still idolize him? I mean it was one thing to fight for his right to trial while he was being held by the Government, but that was the only reason he was ever labelled as a legend. I don't care any more about what he has to say than what relevance Cap'n Crunch has with regards to IP Telephony.
Just wondering if you have ever noticed a any sort of correlation between chefs and gardening.
By that I mean in my personal experience every amature chef I know also likes to garden.
Apart from the obvious desire to obtain fresh ingredients, I just wonder if you have ever noticed some sort of personality trait in professional chefs that is satiated by the act of creating something (i.e planting a garden or cooking.) or perhaps in just understanding the food a little better.
Actually if you read the FAQ that is linked to in the article. They specifically addressed the issue of being able to run it on your TV. YES, you can run it on your TV, but for the initial setup of PS2 Linux you must use a monitor. From then on, however, you can use your television.
What I want to know is if they plan on deleting any/all MP3's they can find on my system. If I'm an artist, and I have my own music in MP3 format, and they just deleted it I'd certainly hope I could sue the hell out of them for violating my copyright. Not every MP3 I have is material copyrighted by some record company.
To be able to code well enough to teach Joshua, that all important lesson of Futility. And to avoid that whole nuclear war thing.... Oh, and cause it can be fun....dunno why though...
Sorry a huge chunk (including the ship) for Titanic was done in Lightwave. The Matrix was done in Maya, I can't vouge for Appolo 13, but it's doubtful it was done in Houdini.
The funny thing about Houdini is I really hope you like crunching numbers. Houdini is to animation what the old Avid system is to video editing. Done by numbers.
Besides the ability to throw the batch renderer on damn near any x86 machine laying around, and being able to put it on a machine that can use more of it's power to render than to keep the interface running is another big advantage.
Lastly it show's one more step towards the ultimate release of Maya for Linux.
How do you know where midword is? Do you think that those spaces are actual spaces and not random ones? If you read about the first cryptogram that was solved in 1992 they specifically mention that the spaces were insignificant. Therefore the location of a upper or lowercase 'B' in the middle of a sentence could very well be the Beginning, Middle, End, or hell it could even be a punctuation mark for all we know.
Don't you think that sometime in the last 150 years since this was written that almost every person who picked it up thought the same thing? I just wonder what level of expertise has this reached? How many professional cryptographers have this on thier coffee table, or hanging on thier wall and every time they walk past it thinking 150 years, and still nothing....
So DECSS has been going on for a while RIAA is hitting up MP3.com how long is it really going to be until everyone stop's just reading these articles and actually tries to do something about it? Why isn't everyone on Slashdot a member of the EFF? Why isn't everyone posting DECSS? When will the rest finally take the next step beyond just reading all of this? If you wait too long you will only be able to wish you had. I certainly don't want to tell my kids how we were too lazy to do anything about this. I want to tell them how we didn't take any more s#!t from these guys. And that's when it all came crashing down on them.

bit-torrent required of course.
Speaking of half-life, incidentally there is a new vid of the gameplay just in case anyone is interested. Bit-torrent required however.
Here to download.

What the hell is wrong with these damn people? They are surely getting to be incredibly desperate.
They think that a warning is enough to force people into compliance. Check this one out BSA Pirate Software Vans.
Funny if you know it's not true. But just remember how many people actually belive the internet is going to be shutdown for maintainance on April 1st.
