    I think consumers are just used to one purchase when it comes computers and software. You pay, you own it, it's yours.

    I don't know how their Office subscription is doing though, so maybe they've snookered some people into getting used to it.

    I have my doubts about large customers also. Many stick with a single version of windows for years and years because they want a stable computing environment.

    Well, as stable as it can be with Microsoft.

    The Demagoguery over this issue is breath taking.

    If you recall, Rick Perry mandated HPV vaccinations in 2007.

    Lots of people totally lost their shit over this despite the fact that HPV can cause cancer and the vaccine is effective and not just because of donations. The term parental choice was thrown around a lot.

    Many people in the news on their high horse about Christie 's comments are the same ones who were shitting bricks about Perry''s mandate. Hell, even Obama was on the fence about vaccinations in 2008.

    So file all this under Complete and Utter Presidential Race Bullshit.

    Some "scientists" want the food pyramid to be reconsidered in light of climate change and the carbon costs of the food.

    No matter what you think about climate change, it has shit to do with what food is healthy and what is not and what is the best mix for people to follow.

    1. Show them the company has competent leadership who won't fuck things up.
    2. Show then that you have a competent Manager who knows how to run a project, provide resources, and make shit happen.

    Start by asking what kind of Engineers you want.

    I'd expect that the majority of projects simply need well qualified, stable and dedicated people. Not that hard to find.

    Just show them that they will have a job for more than six months, they will be paid industry rates, won't be working 80 hours a week, and will be financially successful if the company is successful. That doesn't mean a millionaire. It means a great benefits package and decent profit sharing.

    Or, you could try to find flighty, pig headed Rock Stars who may be very smart and will create something truly amazing, only to have them leave straight away, taking knowledge and experience with them and a leaving a system that probably wasn't created with long term maintenance in mind.

    The "Wealthy" have Billions of dollars.

    They own assets that could be converted into Billions, but not in any practical sense. Most of their wealth is in stocks and bonds. You have to sell those to get cash. If Gates sold all of his stocks so he could roll around in a Billion dollars cash with naked teenagers, M.S. stock would probably crash, reducing his wealth by orders of magnitude.

    Sure, they have access to a shit ton of money, but it's almost all on paper.

    I've seen and heard a 2015 GT350 up close and personal (from the outside). Nothing fake about that.

    Same for the Ecoboost. It purrs at idle, but put your foot in it and you hear the horsepower.

    Don't know where these people are getting their information but they've not actually been in the car I bet.

    When it comes to these kinds of organizations, approval delayed is the same as approval denied. They cannot begin any meaning fund raising until their tax status is determined.

    What the IRS essentially did was to put them in limbo. That means they couldn't represent themselves to potential donors as a bonafide tax exempt organization.

    And how long were they delayed? Almost all were delayed until after the 2012 elections.

    For Lois, it is mission accomplished.
