    Pareto Principle.

    Roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes. Reddit seems extreme, but it's not unusual.

    Can anyone think of something where this doesn't apply?

  9. Stripping and cleaning a weapon is not Rocket Science. That said, there are some aspects that are not exactly intuitive.

    Having the weapon disassembled before you, on video, with commentary such as, "Push this pin here to release the mechanism" is extremely helpful.

    As far as your general attitude that people shouldn't complain, I assume you don't think people should be bitching about Facebook? After all it's a third party site an you voluntarily joined, so what they provide to others is no bug deal, right?

    That points to a deficiency in YouTube's system.

    There are plenty of gun related industries that would be more than happy to have their brands advertised on Hickock45, for instance.

    The idiots at Youtube seems to only be able to completely remove advertising from a channel rather than to target it. Strange since Googles targets all the time.

    Truth is, they would be just another movie studio. Nothing new about it.Might as well be Sony announcing a new Studio spin off or something.

  12. I human driver would have seen her in time to at least stomp on the brakes, as ineffective as that would be. And I suspect that a human driver would have noticed her sooner. Almost certainly the cameras do not portray te lighting conditions accurately.

    The automation systems didn't seem to know shit about her.

    And it wasn't as if she "suddenly darted" into he road.

    He used RNC data, which was more accurate.

  17. Sure...only 3mph, but my Cruise Control can do better than that.

    Plus, any reasonably good driver is always scanning the sides to see what might be coming out of driveways or the side of the road.. This time it was a person. What if it's a car next time.

    Can the AI spot a car traveling at 50 MPH approaching a 4 way stop and not slowing down? Happened to me just last weekend.

    Meh.

    If a number isn't in my Contacts, it gets ignored.

    If they don't leave a message, it gets blocked.

    If it's an automated message, it gets blocked.

    If I can't find the number in Google, it gets blocked.

    It doesn't take much time or effort.

    To clarify, blocked means it goes directly to VM and I don't even know they called. If you have long VM instructions, they typically don't even bother to leave a message or it fucks with their automated systems.

    Large Animals? Deer, and other wildlife that often end up as hood ornaments.

    Children? They are famous for unexpectedly running out into the street.

    You would have thought that these considerations were first and foremost on the minds of the software folks.
