  1. It is a one of their favorite "tricks" because the purpose is to burn through all the rhetoric and spin and get to the essential fact.

    The answer to "Did you kill him?" is a yes or no answer. The circumstances surrounding the murder are separate considerations.

    So it's not a, "trick", but a tool to arrive at the underlying facts stripped bare of spin.

  2. Most things are simply True or False.

    Attempting to nuance it or explain how it's "misleading" is called spin.

    It is also called editorializing.

    "Yeah, but..." is not fact checking. It's spinning.

  11. Have you ever done a video chat and been a bit distracted by the participate never look at you? Rather, they are looking at their screen. It's just a bit strange and unnatural. It's like talking with someone who is looking at their coffee mug instead of you.

    They need to make a display that has a video camera in the middle of it. Better yet, some sort of arrangement where the display figures out where the eyeballs of the participants are and makes that the focal point of the camera looking back. THEN video chats will seem natural

    They've demonetized many of the channels I like to watch...such a hunting, camping, home repair, etc.

    It's stupid and random. If they have an algorithm doing this the programmer is a moron. If people are doing it, they are morons. if it's a mix, then it's the Perfect Storm of Morons.

    Won't belong before the only channels unaffected by their stupidity are the Cute Cat channels and that won't last after the Animal Rights assholes get done with them.

    So..no, no probable cause. The also excluded the information about the origin of the Dossier.

    It is an invalid warrant.

  18. I guess it depends on what kind of existence you are willing to accept.

    What kind of Doctor are you willing to accept?

    What kind of law enforcement office are you willing to accept?

    What kind of Police are you willing to accept?

  19. Some of those things require a fully articulated body.

    Others require a level of AI sophistication that would approach human consciousness.

    Then we are talking about a new type of citizen. A job at the point is the least of your worries.

    6. Teach my kids.
    7. Police my neighborhood.

    10. Get elected and participate in government.

    AI is a tool that could help with all this, but it isn't a thing that can do all of this.

  23. These announcements that Windows (fill in the blank) is now the most popular OS is pretty much the same as announcing that the Form 1040 is now the most popular government form. Especially when it's compared to other Windows OSs.

    When you can't buy a "Windows" computer with any other OS than 10, what do you expect?

    What they are really saying is that Windows 7 computers have failed or been replace enough times that more now use the only OS you can buy for a "Windows" computer.
