    Many people are buying them as gifts, or are genealogists who buy a lot of them. The fact that your credit card is tied to a DNA sample is no indication that the DNA is yours.

    Wrong.

    The average density of dark matter near the solar system is approximately 1 proton-mass for every 3 cubic centimeters, which is roughly 6x10-28 kg/cm3. The actual density might be a little lower or higher, but this is the right order of magnitude.

    Based on this number, we can work out the total mass of dark matter within the radius of Earth's orbit around the sun: for an orbital radius of 100 million km, we get a total of 2.3x1012 kg of dark matter within the Earth's orbit. This sounds like a lot, but the sun's mass is 2x1030 kg. All of that dark matter only weighs 10-18 as much as the sun does, so we cannot detect the tiny pull of dark matter upon the Earth's orbit. The same story is true all over the solar system: the gravitational pulls of the sun and planets are always much larger than that of the dark matter.

    "Sex trafficking" does not refer to prostitution in general. It specifically means coercion or enslavement someone and prostituting them against their will. The phrase doesn't mean that it's sex that's being trafficked, but people.

    People have been using Bt for nearly a hundred years. Yes, insects become resistant. Guess what, though? They use different strains of Bt to fight the insects that have become resistant to the older strains. Likewise, they can make changes to the Bt genes used in future crops.

Look at an image, ignore context, and declare things to be impossible because your lack of training and experience in the subject matter leaves you unable to understand what you're seeing.

    The roof shingles are for people willing to pay more to have solar panels deployed on their roof without making it look like they solar panel delpoyed on their roof. They're not meant to compete with roof-deployed solar panels on price.

    Except most people would assume that an observed violation is unintentional and would therefore report internally first, with the expectation that the company would fix it. Going to the SEC is going to be what people think of when they have evidence of a willful violation.

    This ruling just makes the employer/employee relationship more antagonsitic.

  24. Cameras can provide a better field of view than turning around or using your mirrors. A proper rearview camera system would be much safer than looking around and checking your mirrors.
