  1. Re:Dichotomy on Will Smith as I, Robot · · Score: 2

What's wrong with Will Smith having a part in the movie? He's a great actor. Him being on the project doesn't mean that it's going to be a comedy. He's a great actor with a lot of charisma. He did extremely well in Aly.

  2. Cubicles on Anand Tours ATI and NVIDIA · · Score: 1

To to tell you the truth I'm dissapointed with the article. It's too bad we couldn't see the cubicles of some of the guys that work there. Not just the CEO but also the average programmer there. I didn't really care for seeing a bunch of servers. I wanted to see how the people where seated, how the cafeteria looked, how the bathroom looked. It might sound weird but I'm sure a lot of people would agree with me.

A neat feature would be if you could play the CD while copying it. Let's say your friend gets into your car and wants to make you listen to a CD. You would then have the chance to listen and record the CD before you drop him off.

Anti-Aliasing (16X FAA) looks like it makes a big difference in the quality of the 3D images without sacrificing the speed as much as Matrox's competitors. That will be Matrox's biggest selling point.

I would love to try the Surround Gaming. I'm sure it would give me an edge playing Quake 3.

  10. Instant Replay... on GTA3: Vice City Announced · · Score: 1

I really wish there was replays in the games. There was plenty of times Iwas wishing I could replay a crazy car chase or a last second escape from the cops. I hope the computer version has that feature. I wouldn't mind downloading a crazy car chase seen from the net. I'm sure some web sites would spring up where people could rate the replays.

  11. Re:Death Sentence on DOJ Argues in Favor of MS Settlement · · Score: 1
Do you really think MS deserves a death sentence? The business side may have played hardball, but nowhere do I see MS being accused of assaulting, maiming, or killing anyone. Chemical companies, and manufacturing companies that have third world factories on the other hand...
I agree with you. I don't think they deserve a death sentence. I was just wondering if any company could get the death sentence. Has there been any cases in which a big company was given the "death sentence" .

  13. Death Sentence on DOJ Argues in Favor of MS Settlement · · Score: 2, Interesting

One thing I don't understand. If a company does something illegal, all it gets is a fine. The company can still exist and still profit from their illegal activities. But if an individual does something illegal, he's sent out to prison, and if he does something really bad, they can give the death sentence. Why is there not a death sentence for companies? In other words, if the company is found guilty of a crime the company ceases to exist. The company is then handed over the government. The government finds a way of splitting the assets between the competitors. More that I think of it, that could cause a whole new set of problems...

  15. Online Games on College Students Are Buying More, Warez-ing Less · · Score: 1

  16. Instant page loading. on Macromedia Pushes Flash For All Things Web · · Score: 2, Interesting

What bothers me the most about the Internet is that we have accepted it's slow speed. I now have high speed internet, therefore loading pages are a lot faster than before. But you know what? It's not fast enough. For one reason or another we have accepted waiting a couple of seconds for a web page to load. I haven't accepted it. Therefore a web page with Flash taking 10 seconds to load is not acceptable for me. Despite this we are still trying to cram as much multimedia as possible on a web page. I wish people concentrated in having INSTANT web page loading as if I was opening a document in Vim. Well, at least close to that speed.
